m Electrical connection
The installed electrical motor is connected and ready for
use. The connection meets the corresponding VDE and
DIN regulations.
The power connection on the part of the client, as well as
the extension cables used, must meet these regulations.
Often there are isolation defects in electrical power lines.
Possible causes:
Dents, when the power line was installed through a win-
dow or doorway.
Cracks resulting from an improper mount or installation of
the power line.
Cuts from passing over the power line.
Isolation defects due to pulling out of the wall sockets.
Cracks through aging of the isolation.
Such defective electrical power lines must not be used
and are, due to isolation defects, life-threatening.
Check the electrical power line regularly for defects. Make
sure that the power line is not connected to the power
supply system during check-up.
The power lines must meet the VDE and DIN regulations,
as well as the local EVE regulations. Use only power lines
with the mark H 07 RN. An indication on the cable of the
type of line is mandatory.
Single-phase motor
Line voltage must be 230 V 50 Hz.
Extension cables up to 25 m in length must have a mini-
mum cross section of 1.5 mm2, above 25 m at least 2.5
mm2.
Electrical connection and repair work may be carried out
by a qualified electrician only.
Please specify the following with all inquiries:
Motor manufacturer
Motor current type
Specifications on machine nameplate
Specifications on switch nameplate
When sending in the motor, always include the complete
drive unit with switch.
m Maintenance
Conduct maintenance and cleaning works only with the
unit shut off and the power supply plug pulled. If needed,
re-adjust the brush bar on the roller sieve.
Drive belt tensioning, Fig. 10
Remove the cover.
Re-adjust the flat belt tensioning by releasing 3 hexagon
bolts M6 and pulling the motor upwards.
Retighten the bolts.
Drum vee-belt tensioning, Fig. 11
Release the hexagon nut M 10 and re-adjust the bearing
correspondingly. Retighten the hexagon nut.
Drum cleaning
Take off soil from the drum after every use. The running
surface of the vee-belt on the drum must always be kept
clean. Soil and stones ruin the vee-belt.
