Transport and storage, Fig. 6
Turn the device off, disconnect it from the mains and
remove coarse soil.
Loosen the angle ratchet and the knob and put the
sieve drum in the transport position in a controlled
manner. Ensure that the sieve drum does not suddenly
move downwards in an uncontrolled way. Otherwise,
the device can become damaged.
Secure the sieve drum in the transport position with
the safety splint, by doing the splint put into the bore
of angle sheet and drum frame.
Now you can transport the device easily and store it
without much space requirement. Make sure the
storage area is dry.
Disassembling/assembling the sieve insert, Fig. 7
By using the sieve insert, you can reduce the mesh size
from 20 mm to 10 mm and therefore influence the sie-
ving result.
The drum remains attached to the frame for this.
Remove the drum bars (A) from the inside of the drum
in a longitudinal direction. Before you do that, mark
with a felt-tip pen the position of the two drum bars
for re-installation.
Loosen the rings (B) at the front and the rear of the
sieve drum and remove them from the drum.
Carefully remove the sieve insert from the sieve drum.
Re-attach the drum bars (A) in the positions marked
previously.
To assemble to sieve insert, work in reverse order.
One of the drum bars has to cover the sieve abutting
edge.
m Maintenance
Conduct maintenance and cleaning works only with the
unit shut off and the power supply plug pulled. If needed,
re-adjust the brush bar on the roller sieve.
Adjusting the brush bar
If required, adjust the brush bar on the roller sieve. To do
this, loosen the three screws and push the brush bar into
the required position. Then hand-tighten the three screws
again.
Belt tension drive, Fig. 8
After a period of use, the drive belt can extend or suffer
from wear and tear. This will prevent reliable power trans-
mission from the motor to the sieve drum. You have to
re-tighten the drive belt or replace it.
Unscrew the motor drive cover (Fig. 1-7).
Adjust the flat belt tension by loosening the three
motor screws (A) and push the motor upwards.
If you cannot tighten the belt, or/and it is porous, it is
worn and you have to replace it.
Hold the motor with one hand and hand-tighten the
motor screws with the other hand.
Tighten the motor belt cover again.
