• The slurry mixer with electric drive
may not be commissioned while it is
raining.
• Make sure that your work station has
sufficient lighting.
• The operating personnel must ensure
that no unauthorised persons remain
in the work area of the machine.
(Children in the vicinity of the pit
opening).
• Improper conduct in the event of
malfunctions can result in severe per-
sonal injury and property damage -
therefore familiarise yourself with the
guidelines for malfunctions.
• Prior to switching on the machine,
learn the correct conduct in the event
of malfunctions.
• Prior to switching on the machine,
perform the tasks listed in the chapter
"Duties before beginning work".
• After switching off the machine, the
work steps from the following chapter,
"Decommissioning", must be per-
formed.
• Smoking and handling of open flame
are prohibited in the vicinity of the
slurry mixer, because explosions can
occur from the escaping gases.
• Make sure that you have sufficient
clearance to the pit opening. The
escaping gases are toxic and
potentially explosive.
• If the machine remains shut down and
unattended for an extended period, it
must be secured against unauthorised
restarting.
Starting the conveyor belt with electric
motor
There is a switch on the left side to start the
conveyor belt with electric motor.
The green button is for switching on and the
red button is for switching off.
Prior to start-up, however, the direction of
rotation should be checked.
Starting the conveyor belt with tractor
motor
To start the conveyor belt with tractor drive,
it only has to be connected to the double-
action control unit with indexed position of
the tractor.
Then the conveyor belt can be started with
the control unit, in which case the correct
direction of rotation of the belt must be
checked here as well.
Transport
Safety instructions for transport
In order to prevent machine damage or life-
threatening injuries during the transport of
the machine, the following points must be
observed without fail:
• The machine may only be lifted at the
attachment points provided for this
purpose.
• Protruding sharp edges can cause
cutting injuries.
