PICTURE-IN-PICTURE (PIP) OPERATION
For PIP to function you must connect two signals to the TV. (Use the TV’s 75 ohm input and
A/V inputs.) Connect VCR (or other accessory equipped with a video output jack) to the
TV’s audio video jacks as shown on page 12. If you are using a satellite dish, you must
connect two receivers or a cable system or antenna with the satellite to use the PIP feature (see
page 13). For operation with Cable Box, see chart on page 15.
USING PIP TO VIEW TWO TV PROGRAMS
Note: The following steps correspond to numbers on the
art below.
1. Switch VCR and television ON.
2. Press PIP ON/OFF key.
Set VCR to TV mode, if necessary.
3. Select channel for big window.
4. Press SELECT key to select Video1 or Video2 screen.
5. Press VCR key.
Note: If the remote control cannot be programmed to operate your VCR, you must use the
VCR’s remote to perform VCR functions.
6. Select channel on VCR for small window.

AND PRERECORDED TAPE
Note: The following steps do not have corresponding
reference numbers on the remote control art.
1. Set TV channel to match output of VCR (Channel 3 or 4).
2. Insert prerecorded tape into VCR.
3. Press PLAY, if necessary (wait for tape to load).
4. Set VCR to TV mode.
Note: When the remote control is in the VCR mode, the
VIDEO MODE key works like the TV/VCR key
on the VCR.
5. Press SWAP key to view PIP image in big window.
