4. Click the “Begin” button to start converting the selected file to AMV format.
5. The progress of the conversion will be displayed in the “Transcoding Progress” indicator.
6. When the Conversion is complete, the “AMV Player” window will appear and begin playing
the converted file in AMV format.
Shorten your Video Clips
You can shorten the clips that you would like to put on your PMP player.
1. Select an input file that you would like to convert by clicking on the input file button and
selecting a video file from the window that appears.
2. Click the “Play” button on the video player controls.
3. When the video clip reaches the point at which you would like to begin the converted clip,
click the “Start Position” button.
4. When the video clip reaches the point at which you would like to end the converted clip,
click the “End Position” button.
5. To implement the new start and end position, click the “Select” button.
6. To cancel the new start and end position and go back to the original clip length, click the
“Cancel Select” button.
Move Converted Files to your PMP Player
Once you have converted multimedia files to .amv format, you can move them to your PMP player
to view at a later time.
1. When converting a file with the AMV Convert Tool, select the PMP player removable disk as
the output location by clicking the "AMV Path" button and selecting the player from the list that
appears (see the "Convert Video Files to MPV Format" section of the Help).
