b - remove the filter cartridge (10), rotating it by half a turn and sliding
it out of its slot (fig. 3-4); clean with a soft brush or under running
water; making sure it is dry before continuing use;
c - replace the filter cartridge;
d - hook up the vacuum head again (1), making sure it is perfectly
closed.
- Replace the dust bag (wear a mask) and proceed as follows:
a - unhook the vacuum head (1) using the hooks (5);
b - remove the old bag (8), closing the opening with the cap provided
(9a) (fig. 8);
c - put the new bag in place, inserting the pipe-union (9) into the
inlet (14) (fig. 5-6);
d - hook up the vacuum head again (1), making sure it is perfectly
closed.
Only use RUPES dust bags cod. 001.1606/5;
- pay careful attention to the condition of the bag because if dust
enters the vacuum head it could cause irreversible damage to the ma-
chine.
Check the bag regularly by simply lifting the head (1): maximum ca-
pacity is Kg 7 in weight and 30 litres in volume: do not exceed the
indicated limit!
- spare bags should be kept in dry places!
- follow legal regulations for disposal.
Extraordinary maintenance (by the authorised service center)
- Check regularly, and if necessary replace the filter on the cooling con-
ducts and on the exhaust;
- periodically check power cord and plug conditions; replace if damaged
or worn;
- replace the filter as above (10) whenever torn or excessively obstructed.
Only use RUPES filters cod. 041.1609.
GUARANTEE
All tools manufactured by RUPES Spa are guaranteed for 12 months from
the date of purchase against fabrication and material defects.
All tools must be used only with RUPES original accessories and spare
parts: we refuse all responsibility for damages or accidents caused by
non-observance of this rule which will also cause the termination of the
guarantee.
The guarantee will no longer be valid if the instructions contained in this boo-
klet are not followed, if the tool is used for purposes other than that for which
it is intended, if it is dismantled, interfered with in any way or damaged due
to neglect.
The guarantee will be made valid by filling-in the form on the inside back
cover of this instruction booklet.
If the tool is found to be defective or malfunctions, it should be returned car-
riage free in one piece in its original packing together with the guarantee cer-
tificate to the manufacturer or to one of the Assistance Centres listed in the
appendix to this booklet.
The guarantee does not automatically imply replacement of the tool.
RUPES Spa reserves the right to make any technical or design modifica-
tion to its products without prior notice.
The manufacturer is not liable for any print errors. This document voids
and replaces previous ones.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Electrical tool connections
- Insert the tool plug in the socket on the vacuum (7);
- if the tool is equipped with a vacuum device, connect it to the pipe-union
(15) using the hose (19); connect the other end of the tool (18) (fig. 10);
-
do not connect tools with loads over their rated capacity (1x2500 W max).
Pneumatic tool connections (only EP versions)
-Connect the compressed air supply-pipe into the vacuum sleeve (13);
connect the other end to the tool (17) (fig. 9);
-if the tool is equipped with a vacuum device, connect it to the pipe-union
(15) using the sleeve (optional) (20) (fig. 9).
Preliminary checks
- Check that the dust bag is in the container and that the filter is assem-
bled;
- check that the vacuum hose is properly fixed and does not hinder tool
movement;
- check that there are not leaks from the compressed air supply system.
Only after having performed connections should you proceed with a brief
operatingtrial of the tools following their instructions.
MACHINE USE
The machine can be operated in manual or automatic mode: select the
desired mode by turning the knob (2) to the green area (automatic) or the
blue area (manual).
Automatic operations - Green area
Automatic operations means that the vacuum starts when an electrical or
pneumatic tool is turned on. The vacuum will automatically turn off eight
seconds after the tool is turned off.
Manual operations - Blue area
Manual operations means that the vacuum functions continuously.
Manual operations for vacuuming liquids
Unhook the vacuum head (1) using the hooks (5); remove the filter car-
tridge (10) - rotating it by half a turn and sliding it out of its slot (fig. 3-4)
- and the dust bag (8) (as described in the ordinary maintenance chapter)
(fig. 5-6).
Put the polyester filter (11) on the vacuum basket (21) (fig. 7) and hook
the head up again.
Turn the switch (2) to manual.
MAINTENANCE
The manufacturer or an authorised representative must carry out a tech-
nical operating inspection of the machine controls and check for any da-
mage to the machine's filtering system at least once a year. RUPES Spa
is not liable for any direct or indirect damages due to failure to comply
with the instructions provided in this manual.
Ordinary maintenance (by the user)
- Check the condition of the vacuum hoses.
- Wear a 3M 06922 dust mask when cleaning the filter cartridge and pro-
ceed as follows:
a - unhook the vacuum head (1) using the hooks (5);
