STARTING UP
Before starting-up the tool, ensure that:
- the packaging is complete and does not show signs of having been da-
maged during storage or transport;
- the tool is complete; check that the number and type of components
comply with that reported in this instruction booklet;
- the power supply and socket outlet can support the load reported in the
table and that indicated on the tool identification plate reproduced and
explained on page 11.
ASSEMBLING THE TOOL
- Assemble the auxiliary handle (4) using the fixing screw (5);
- place the dust filter (19) in the grid (18) and mount the unit on the tool
body;
- assemble the accessories required for the operation to carry out.
ASSEMBLING THE CUTTERS
- The cutters should be fitted before or after the accessories depending
on which accessories are used;
- slacken the lock nut (16) and insert the tang of the cutters in the collet
(15);
- keep the collect (14) still using the spanner supplied and tighten the lock
nut (16) ensuring that the cutters is centred and tight.
CUTTERS REPLACEMENT
- Slacken the lock nut (16) using the spanner supplied, keeping the collet
shaft still;
- replace the cutters and re-tighten.
FITTING ACCESSORIES
FOR TRIMMING EDGES
- Assemble accessories (7) and (8) in the slots (6) and fix them in position
using the spring washer and screws supplied;
- use either the straight guide or roller for straight, curved for irregular ed-
ges;
- adjust the cutters using adjuster (9) and tighten the relative screws.
FOR CUTTING SLOTS
- If necessary, replace the cutter guide on the guide plate (7) with one of
large diameter (12);
- fit a cutter of suitable dimensions;
- if necessary, fit and position the guide and adjustment device (11).
USABLE WORKING TOOLS
Cutters with 6 mm Ø.
BEFORE STARTING THE TOOL
Ensure that:
- the power supply conforms with the characteristics of the tool;
- the power supply cable and plug are in perfect condition;
- the ON/OFF switch works properly though with the power supply di-
sconnected;
- all the parts of the tool have been assembled in the proper manner and
that there are no signs of damage;
- the ventilation slots are not obstructed (17);
- the cutters is properly fixed (13).
STARTING AND STOPPING
- Starting
: push the slide of the ON/OFF switch (2) forward.
- Stopping: return the switch (2) to its original position.
TEST RUN
Start the tool and check that there is no vibration and that the cutters is
centred.
Otherwise switch-off the tool immediately and eliminate the cause.
