Your Sunshine® appliance works from mains power, however a set of batteries are provided as backup,
should a power failure occur so that all of the settings that you have memorised are retained.
• Never mix an old battery with a new one.
• Your SUNSHINE® appliance requires three LR3 AAA batteries (not included).
• Only use LR3 AAA batteries.
• When you replace the batteries, be sure to match up the indications
shown in the battery compartment (see drawing):
• Remove the batteries when they are flat or if you do not plan to use the appliance for a prolonged length
of time
• Your appliance requires very little maintenance. You can clean it using a dry or slightly damp cloth.
• Take care to dry any newly cleaned parts.
• Never immerse your appliance in water.
Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be recovered or recycled.
Leave it at a local civic waste collection point.
• The appliance does not work.
Check that the power cord is properly connected to the power outlet.
Check that your power outlet is working.
• The appliance ignores my settings => Disconnect your appliance by unplugging the power cord, then
reconnect it. Now you can repeat your settings.
• The alarm went off but I didn't hear any sound => perhaps the sound volume is set to 0, or set too low?
Refer to (b) in Point 3.
Or, perhaps you switched the alarm off? To switch the alarm on, refer to Point 5.
• The radio does not work or I hear interference => perhaps the antenna wire (27) is not fully deployed.
• The radio station programmed to wake me up did not work => Turn off the alarm, switch on the radio to
make sure it is working properly. Also make sure that the antenna wire (27) is fully deployed.
• The time on your dawn simulator blinks. There may have been a power outage and your batteries may be
low => Check your batteries and replace them if necessary.
