ROTWILD USER MANUAL
on the end, it is not yetvv possible to
remove the front wheel. The wheel can
be removed by unscrewing the ten-
sioning nut on the end of the quick-
release by 3 or four turns.
Before you start on removing the
rear wheel, shift the chain on to the
smallest rear sprocket. This makes it
easier to remount the rear wheel later.
Now open the rear quick-releases and
unscrew the tensioning nut by 3 or 4
turns.
When removing the rear wheel, it may
be necessary to pull the rear derailleur
back to allow the wheel to be removed
more easily
from the axle mounts.
BICYCLE CARE
With your decision to purchase a ROT-
WILD bike you are now the owner of a
high-quality product that requires regular
care and attention.
The best protection against damaging en-
vironmental influences is regular washing
and conservation, in particular when
using your bike in the winter months. Salt
and dirt work their way into bearings and
attack the paint finish of your bike.
For washing, use only a soft sponge and
clear water.
Give a final polish with a soft cloth or
leather.
Repair slight damage to the finish
immediately. Paint repair sticks are
part of the accessory kit provided with
your bike.
When necessary, treat your bike with a
proprietary conservation and corrosion
prevention product.
Please do not use any polish at mat-
te varnish, as this can lead color changes.
Remove the following forms of dirt as
soon as possible:
Traces of sweat
Insect remains, bird droppings, resins
Oil and grease, tar spots.
Never clean your bike with a steam
cleaner, a high-pressure water jet cleaner
or an intense stream of water. Water may
enter the bearings and may also damage
the finish of your bike.
Keep your eyes open!
Look out for damage, bending or disco-
louration while cleaning your bike. If in
doubt about what to do, contact your
ROTWILD dealer.
Potential accident risk
The brake discs must not come into
contact with conserving products, oils,
greases or other lubricants. If this should
happen, clean your brake discs with bra-
ke cleaner. Have your brake pads checked
at regular intervals by a qualified profes-
sional bicycle workshop and have them
replaced if necessary.
Risk of poisoning
Always store cleaning materials in closed
containers and out of reach of children.
Please read the instructions carefully
before use.
