Schmoren (= stewing)
Manual runtime: 30 min

Operation: first without,
then with lid and closed

Delicate goulash
100 g of lard
1 kg of beef goulash
2 onions
500 g of tomatoes
1 red pepper
2 carrots, medium sized
1 clove of garlic
3 tsp sweet paprika powder
1,5 l of water
Salt, pepper, caraway
1 bay leaf
1 tbsp flour
Select programme Anbraten“. Add lard to the pot and
heat it up. Sear the pieces of meat on each side for about
4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Lightly dust with flour.
Cut the carrots, red pepper and onions into cubes and
sear as well. Strain the tomatoes and finely chop the
garlic. Add everything to the pot and stir well.
Then fill up with water and stir again. Put on the lid
and select programme “Schmoren” with a running
time of 30 minutes.
After the signal tone, actuate the pressure outlet valve
before opening the lid.
Tip: Extend running time of the programme for large
goulash pieces.
Kartoffeln (= potatoes)
Standard runtime: 7 min
Temperature: automatic
Operation: with lid and
closed steam outlet valve
Boiled potatoes
500 g of potatoes
650 ml of water
Place the rack in the cooking pot filled with water. Put
the potatoes into the steaming basket and position it
onto the rack. Select programme “Kartoffeln” and start.
After the signal tone, actuate the pressure outlet valve
before opening the lid.
Tip: For a larger quantity the cooking time must be
increased accordingly.
Reis (= rice)
Standard runtime: 7 min
Temperature: automatic
Operation: with lid and
closed steam outlet valve
Classic Basmati rice
250 g of Basmati rice
330 ml of water
2 pinches of salt
Put all the ingredients into the pot and start programme
“Reis”. After a total of about 25 minutes the rice is
ready to eat.
After the signal tone, actuate the pressure outlet valve
before opening the lid.
Tip: The ratio between rice and water is about 3 to 4.
Even two minutes longer cooking time and 20 ml
additional water make for a softer rice.
Reis (= rice)
Manual runtime: 13 min
Temperature: automatic
Operation: with lid and
closed steam outlet valve
Wholemeal rice
250 g of wholemeal rice
375 ml of water
2 pinches of salt
Put all the ingredients into the pot and select programme
“Reis”. Increase the running time to 13 minutes, then
start the programme. After a total of about 30 minutes
the rice is ready to eat.
After the signal tone, actuate the pressure outlet valve
before opening the lid.
Tip: The ratio between rice and water is about 2 to 3.
Even two minutes longer cooking time and 30 ml
additional water make for a softer rice.
Hülsenfrüchte
(= legumes)
Standard runtime: 4 h
Soaking time in the pot
7 min “Dampfdruckstufe 1“
Operation: with lid and
closed steam outlet valve
Strong lentil soup
250 g of lentils
1.5 l of water
1 tsp cooking oil
1 onion
2 carrots
1 clove of garlic
150 g of bacon
200 g of potatoes
1 tbsp vinegar
2 bay leaves
Salt & pepper
Select programme Anbraten“ with temperature level
140 °C. Heat up the cooking oil, then add the diced
vegetables as well as onion and garlic (each finely
chopped) and the bacon cut into cubes. Sweat for about
8 minutes. After that add the bay leaves, the washed
lentils (Attention: Do not use fast cooking lentils!) and
diced potatoes. Stir once and fill up with water. Cover
with lid, select programme “Hülsenfrüchte” and start.
After the signal tone, actuate the pressure outlet valve
before opening the lid.
Finally season the lentils with salt, pepper and vinegar.
Tip: Red lentils have a fine aroma and - since they are
already peeled - do not need to be soak.
