If you like to prepare several types or batches of ice cream successively, you can purchase a second freezer
bowl with lid. It is available under model number IB 05 in specialist stores or with your local dealer

If the ice cream gets too hard during preparation, the motor blocks.
The preparation is finished. This is not a defect. Stop the process by
pressing the button “start/pause”.

Overheated motor. The appliance starts the motor automatically after
cooling down. Please note that the timer continues running during the
cooling phase.
Tips and recipes
The texture of the ice cream depends on the temperature of the ice-cream mixture and its ingredients.
°
The cooler the mixture, the faster the ice cream is finished. Therefore, the mixture should be
pre-chilled in the refrigerator to 2-4 °C.
°
A high fat rate gives a creamy texture but it would, however, require a longer stirring time in the Ice
cream maker.
°
You can freeze the finished ice-cream for another 2-3 hours in the freezer to get a firmer ice cream.
Depending on the used ingredients, ice cream which is stored in a freezer becomes very firm. In that
case put the ice cream in the refrigerator for approx. 5-10 minutes just before serving.
Observe the maximum filling quantity of 500 ml. If it´s exceeded, the cooling capacity may not be
sufficient to produce an ice cream with the desired consistency.
Prepare the ice-cream mixture in a separate bowl.
Please follow the appropriate hygiene rules, especially for recipes with raw eggs.
Has the ice cream reached the desired consistency before the end of the set time, switch off the
appliance manually.
The following recipes are just a small selection. You can find a wide range of possibilities for preparation
and recipe ideas in the relevant specialist literature and on the internet.
Milk-based ice cream
Vanilla ice cream
200 ml whole milk
200 ml cream
100 g sugar
pulp of one vanilla pod
Stir the mixture until the sugar is completely dissolved. Pour the pre-chilled mixture into the Ice cream
maker and let stir for 40 minutes to the desired consistency.
