Control panel and display
This model is equipped with touch control keys which make operation easy and very convenient. You activate
the corresponding function by activating the touch key with your finger. This is acknowledged by a short
acoustic signal.
Quick-start guide
• Plug in the mains plug. The operation LED flashes.
• Activate the main switch. The operation LED glows permanently.
• Press the “+” or “-“ touch key and the display shows the currently suggested temperature (180 °C or
the temperature value previously set).
• You can now select the desired grill temperature using the “+” or “-” touch key (in steps of 10° from
80 °C up to 280 °C - see grilling chart).
• As soon as the set temperature has been reached, an acoustic signal sounds.
• Slightly oil the Ceran
®
surface before grilling unmarinated meat or vegetables.
• Preheating with full power is only necessary if you intend to sear meat to ensure the pores of the meat
seal quickly. It is advisable to reduce the temperature after a few seconds. In this way the steaks get a
well-browned crust outside and the inside stays juicy and pink.
• The temperature can be changed in steps of 10° by touching the “+” or “-” key.
• To display the current temperature, press the “°C” touch key. The “current temperature” LED illuminates
and the current temperature of the grilling surface is displayed.
After touching the “°C” touch key again, or automatically after 5 seconds, the appliance will change to
operating mode and the temperature can be adjusted anew.
• The keep-warm zone is heated with only half the temperature of the grilling zone and keeps your
cooked food ready to be served.
• Use the main switch to switch off the appliance after grilling. There is an acoustic signal and all displays
go out.
• “Hot” is displayed as long as the temperature on the grill plate is above 60 °C.
• Caution! Unplugging the appliance will extinguish all displays, including the residual heat indication.
