Customizing the V-Piano Grand’s Sounds
“Velocity Follow” refers to the way in which the strength of an effect
changes according to the keyboard playing dynamics.
The following parameters can be made to vary according to the
force with which you strike the key.
Unison Tune
Hammer Hardness
Cross Resonance
Decay Time
Tone Color
1.
Press the [F3 (Velocity)] button.
2.
Turn the [Value] dial to adjust the Velocity Follow
setting.
With positive (+) values, the effect will increase as you play more
strongly.
With negative (-) values, the effect will increase as you play more
softly.
With positive (+) values of Velocity Follow
With negative (-) values of Velocity Follow
Unison Tune (p. 41) allows you to tune the 1st string and 3rd string
independently.
In the parameter setting screen, you can press the [F4 (String)]
button repeatedly to make fine adjustments to the pitch of the 1st
string and 3rd string.

For tones of the “Vintage” piano type (p. 31), this effect won’t be applied
to notes below the E1 key.
Also, this effect won’t be applied to these two tones: “V-Concert Grand”
and “V-Concert Mellow.”
By accessing the utility screen “2. Tone Parameter” you can view the
preset tone that was the basis of your customizations.
In some cases, the sound may be briefly interrupted when you
switch tones; however, interruptions will be less likely when
you switch between a preset tone and a tone that was
customized from that same preset tone. If you’re using a pedal
to switch between setups, it’s best if the setups contain tones
that were customized from the same preset tones.
