Faults and their causes
How the steam tank works
When the steam function is switched on, the tank
begins to fill up at the bottom, near the cold water inlet.
This continues until a certain water level is reached.
This is measured with a metering pin in the steam tank.
This is followed by the automatic calibration of the
metering pin. The steam process will be started.
The water will be heated with a steam element
consisting of a 2.4 kW and a 1 kW coil. The 2.4 kW coil
is operated by an on-off switch and the 1kW coil is
variably controllable. During normal operations, the 2.4
kW coil shall always be switched on. The 1kW coil shall
be activated according to the temperature in the cabin,
in order to maintain the pre-set temperature. If the
external temperature is high and/or if the desired
temperature setting is low, the 2.4 kW coil shall remain
switched off and the 1kW coil will control the
temperature. In the case of extremely high ambient
temperatures, the 1kW and 2.4 kW coils will switch off
and no steam will pass into the cabin. The amount of
steam is in proportion to the supply.
The water level will reduce due to the steam
consumption and the steam tank will be automatically
topped up. If the metering pin unexpectedly fails to
function, and if the tank becomes empty, the heating
coil will be protected by the thermal cutout.
The tank will be automatically emptied at the end of the
steam cycle (flashing steam LED). The steam tank will
be run in idle running mode for around 5 minutes.
The steam tank will then be empty and a new steam
cycle can be started.

Error codes
Code E1: LEDs flash 1 times at long intervals.
MEANING:
At the start of the steam cycle the steam generator is
filled with water. If the time for filling is too short or too
long this message appears.
CAUSE/SOLUTION
! No water present.
With the hand shower, check whether water is present.
! Water pressure in the cabin is too low (min 1.5 bar)
Is the amount of water that emerges from your hand
shower the same as in normal situations.
! The steam generator was still full after the last steam
cycle. Possibly a faulty drain valve or scale is blocking
the outlet valve of the steam generator.
! The supply of water to the steam generator is
blocked by a clogged filter (see position number 51 in
the parts list). If this is so it must be replaced by
recognised installer.
! The water level pen is having difficulty detecting the
water level in the steam generator.
Scale on the metering pin may cause a false reading to
be given to the electronic system. (Attribute: water
emerges from the steam nozzle).
The metering pin is not connected properly or is turned
off You should have the metering pin connected
properly by a recognised installer.
Code E2: LEDs flash 2 times at long intervals.
MEANING
The temperature of the cabin drops 10 minutes after
starting (after switching on of steam cycle).
CAUSE/SOLUTION- Shut the door
!
The door may have been open during the heating-up
phase.
!
Check that the steam generator is producing steam.
!
Check that the steam generator is producing
sufficient steam.
!
Is the temperature indicator display correct.
Code E3: LEDs flash 3 times at long intervals.
MEANING
The temperature set is not reached within the cabin
within 30 minutes
CAUSE/SOLUTION
!
The door may have been open during the heating-up
phase.
!
The door has been left ajar too much. (The sealing
profile does not connect properly).
!
The temperature sensor is defective, the temperature
indication on the display shows an excessively high or
low temperature.
!
No steam generation.
Possible defects in the heating element.
Check that the steam hose is connected correctly
to the steam nozzle.
!
Steam production is too low compared to normal.
The steam generator consists of two heating elements
and one of these can be switched off thermally. Switch
off the power from the cabin. After two hours try to use
the steam function
!
The steam generator is producing steam, but the
temperature is not rising at all or only insufficiently.
Ambient temperature too low. (Recommended min
20ºC)
Code E4: LEDs flash 4 times at long intervals.
MEANING
The steam generator is not empty when the steam
function is switched on or the steam generator has not
emptied at the end of a steam function.
CAUSE/SOLUTION
!
There has been a power cut during steaming which
means that the tank has not run dry (end of cycle is
skipped as a result of the power cut)
!
It is possible that boiler scale is blocking the outlet
valve of the steam generator. You should have the
steam generator descaled by a recognised installer.
!
Drain valve is not working. Possibly a faulty coil on
this valve or the electronic system is not working
properly.
!
Short-circuit in the metering pin due to condensate
and/or moisture. The area behind the cabin is not
adequately ventilated.
!
See also fault E1
Code E5: LEDs flash 5 times at long intervals.
MEANING
The steam generator is not topped up during the steam
cycle or does not fill during the steam cycle.
CAUSE/SOLUTION
!
During the steam cycle the steam generator is not
topped up within 15 min.
The metering pin is not detecting the level properly. The
steam generator should be descaled by a recognised
installer.
-The cabin is placed against an external wall without
insulation
Walls against which the placed must be
insulated (outer walls should at least have a hollow
cavity) or have wall heating.
cabin is
Error codes
The error code is shown in the display as follows.
!
!
Excessively large bubbles are formed in the water at
the boiling point, due to a very high salt content in the
inlet water. If the steam generator is idle for a long time
start and stop the steam cycle several times to flush out
the steam generator and pipes. If this problem
continues, call in a recognised installer to clean
the steam generator.
Code E6: LEDs flash 6 times at long intervals.
MEANING
User alarm. Exit for external (optional) monitoring
media.
CAUSE/SOLUTION
The user has activated the alarm function Cancel
the alarm by depressing the alarm button for longer
than two seconds.
Code E7: LEDs flash seven times at long intervals.
MEANING
During steaming the steam generator is not topped up
for more than 15 minutes.
During steaming water from the steam generator is
used. The water must be replenished and if this does
not happen for a long time a message is displayed in
order to prevent the steam generator boiling dry.
CAUSE/SOLUTION
There can be several reasons for this. See also E05
If this problem continues, call in a recognised installer to
inspect the installation.
The temperature of the steam cycle will be set to a
lower or similar temperature (for example 35 C) than
the ambient temperature due to which the water
demand of the steam generator is zero.
º
Try the steam
cycle again at a higher set temperature.
