Abkürzungen und Begriffe
CI und CI+
Über den Common Interface Schacht
können CAM Module mit Smartcards zur
Entschlüsselung von Bezahlfernsehen
eingesetzt werden. Der erweiterte CI+
Standard wird von einigen Sendern
genutzt, um Aufnahmen, Timeshift oder
Überspringen von Werbung zu unterbin-
den.
CAM
Als Conditional Access Module bezeich-
net man Produkte, welche in einen CI
Schacht eingesetzt werden können, um
mittels einer Smartcard bestimmte Be-
zahlfernsehsender zu entschlüsseln.
CSA
Der Common Scrambling Algorithmus ist
ein Verschlüsselungsverfahren und wird
beim DVB Fernsehen genutzt, um den
Videodatenstrom zu verschlüsseln.
DiSEqC
Digital Satellite Equipment Control, kurz
DiSEqC, bezeichnet eine digitale Steuer-
signaltechnik eingesetzt in der Gebäu-
deverkabelung von Satelliten-Empfangs-
anlagen. DiSEqC-Steuersignale ermögli-
chen gegenüber den 14/18-Volt- und 22-
kHz-Steuersignalen beim Sat-Empfang
einen erweiterten Funktionsumfang.
DVB
Digital Video Broadcasting bezeichnet
einen einheitlichen Standard zur Über-
tragung von Audio und Video Inhalten.
DVB gibt es in den Varianten S (Satellit),
C (Kabel) und T (Terrestrisch).
DVI
Mit DVI (Digital Visual Interface) be-
zeichnet man eine im Allgemeinen digi-
tale Videoschnittstelle. Es können aber
sowohl analoge wie auch digitale Signa-
le übertragen werden.
EPG
EPG steht für „Electronic Programm
Guide“ und bedeutet elektronische Prog-
rammzeitschrift. Diese Daten werden
von den TV Sendern ausgestrahlt und
können von Revox nicht beeinflusst
werden.
Exif
Das Exchangeable Image File Format ist
ein Standard für das Dateiformat, in dem
moderne Digitalkameras Metadaten
über die aufgenommenen Bilder spei-
chern.
GUI
Eine grafische Benutzeroberfläche wird
als GUI (Graphical User Interface) be-
zeichnet.
HDCP
Highbandwidth Content Protection ist ein
Verschlüsselungsverfahren, welches
das Kopieren von digitalen Daten unter-
bindet. Mittels HDCP wird das unerlaub-
te „Abzweigen“ von Inhalten zwischen
Sender und Empfänger unterbunden.
