5 Safety instructions
WARNING!
All applicable legal requirements concerning oc-
cupational safety must be adhered to, along with
the safety instructions that are cited in the section
“Safety instructions” and all other generally ap-
plicable health and working principles. The manu-
facturer accepts no liability for any damage that is
caused by unauthorised changes to the machine.
5.1 General safety instructions
- Before starting up the machine, read the pro-
vided safety instructions and operating instruc-
tions carefully and completely.
- You must keep all supplied documents and must
only pass the machine onto other people if you
also pass on these documents.
5.2 Safety warnings
- You must also adhere to any other safety in-
structions that are supplied as part of the scope
of delivery of each machine.
- Before starting up any tool, you must check the
exible power cable and the plug. You must have
any defects xed by a professional.
- Never touch the machine with wet hands when
it is connected to the power mains.
- The switch must be in the OFF position before
you connect it to the mains.
- The container with the material that is to be
mixed must be stabilised to prevent it from slip-
ping on the oor.
- Only use the tool until the stirring rod diameter
that is speci ed in the technical speci cations
has been reached.
- Load the machine in such a way that the speed
does not decrease too much or the machine is
forced to stop.
- Always guide the exible power cable from the
tool to the rear. Never pull hard on the exible
power cable and never set it on or guide it over
any sharp edges.
- Only work in a safe and stable position.
- Take into account that there will be a reactionary
torsional momentum.
5.3 Other safety risks
Even in cases where the machine is used correctly
and all relevant safety instructions have been ad-
hered to, the design engineering of the machine
and its operation mean that there may also be the
following safety risks:
- Danger that may be caused by the exible power
cable.
- A concentration of dust which is harmful to
health when working in an area that is not suf-
ciently ventilated.
- Injuries caused by touching electri ed parts
when removing the machine or its parts if the
plugs on the exible power cable have not been
removed from the socket.
- You must only use original PROTOOL spare
parts.
5.4 Information about noise and
vibrations
Levels determined in accordance with EN 60 745
are typically:
MXP 1000 E EF, MXP 1200 E EF
Sound pressure level L
PA
= 86 dB (A)
Noise level L
WA
= 97 dB (A)
Uncertainty K = 1.5 dB
MXP 1002 E EF
Sound pressure level L
PA
= 86 dB (A)
Noise level L
WA
= 97 dB (A)
Uncertainty K = 1.5 dB
CAUTION
Operating noise
Damage to hearing
Use ear protection!
Vibration emission value a
h
(vector sum for three
directions) and uncertainty K measured in accord-
ance with EN 60 745:
MXP 1000 E EF, MXP 1200 E EF a
h
= 1.0 m/s
2
Uncertainty K = 0.5 m/s
2
MXP 1002 E EF a
h
= 1.0 m/s
2
Uncertainty K = 0.5 m/s

Declared total value of vibrations was measured
according to standard measure method and can
be used for comparison one powertools with the
others.
Declared total value of vibrations can be used for
preliminary setting of exposition.
Warning:
Emission of vibrations during real operating can
be different from declared total value of vibrations
depending on speci c real conditions.
To protect operating person shell be provide safety
measurement, that evaluate the exposition un-
der the real conditions (here are included all parts
of operating cycle, switch of mode and idle run
mode).
