Unscrew the following components:
Plate [5-1] covering the blade guard
Guard [5-2] covering the pendulum mount
Dust exhaustion connection [5-3]
Riving knife [5-4]
Ensure the curve-cutting head [7-3] is clean
and tted according to the illustration and
screw it tight. Ensure that the mounting ange
[7-1] and the clamping ange [7-2] are in the
correct position. The holes in the curve-cutting
head [7-3] must t onto the follow-up pins on
the mounting ange [7-1]. Insert the pin [7-4]
into the hole on the curve-cutting head to se-
cure it.
Screw the cover guard [7-5] onto the pendu-
lum mount [7-6].
Screw the cover guard [7-7] onto the blade
guard [7-8].
Select the depth to be milled as described in
Section 7.2 (Cutting Depth Adjustment) and
the angle to be milled as described in Section
7.3 (Cutting Angle Adjustment).
You can check the curve depth against the
angle to be milled on the table on the blade
guard.
10 Maintenance 
- The unit should be stored in a dry place
where it is protected against freezing.
   WARNING
To verify that  the protective  insulation 
remains  intact,  the  machine  must  be 
subjected to  a technical  safety test  af-
terwards. 
For this reason, this workmustbe per-
formed  exclusively  by  a  professional 
electro-workshop. 
- With each changing of the saw blade, re-
move deposited saw dust from the inside of
the protective guard.
- The ventilation slots on the motor casing
should be cleaned out from time to time.
After an operating period of approx. 200 hours,
the following maintenance work must be per-
formed:
- Check the motor brushes and replace if
necessary. Clean the motor housing.
- Renew the grease lling of the gear box.
11  Environmental Protection/
Disposal 
Power tools, accessories and packaging should
be sorted for environmental-friendly recycling.
Only for EC countries:
Do not dispose of power tools into 
household waste!
According to the European Directive 2002/96/
EC on waste electrical and elec tronic equip-
ment and its incorporation into national law,
power tools that are no longer suitable for use
must be separately collect ed and sent for re-
covery in an environmen tal-friendly manner.

aware of our duty to provide our customers

12 Warranty 
For our tools, we give warranty for mate-
rial and production defects in accordance with
the locally applicable legal provisions, but in
any case for at least 12 months. Within the
EU member states, the warranty period is 24
months (verication through invoice or deliv-
ery note).
Damage caused by, in particular, natural wear,
overloading, incorrect handling, or damage
caused by the operator, or dam age caused
through use of the equipment contrary that
specied in the Operating In structions, or dam-
age which was known at the time of purchase,
is not covered by the warranty. Furthermore,
damage caused by the use of non-original
PROTOOL accesso ries and consumable mate-
rial (e.g. sanding pads) is also excluded.
Complaints can only be recognised if the tool
is returned while still assembled to the supplier
or an authorised PROTOOL Cus tomer Service
workshop. Keep the Operat ing Instructions,
Safety Instructions, Spare Parts List and pur-
chase receipt in a safe place. Otherwise the
respective, current warranty condi tions of the
manufacturer shall apply.
