Processing tips
Before processing food, cut the food to fit the feed tube.
¾ Never process any food that is so hard or firmly frozen that it cannot be pierced
with the tip of a sharp knife. Hard food can cause damage to the blade or motor.
¾ Do not overfill the bowl. For thin mixtures, it is recommended to fill the bowl up
to

full. For thicker mixtures, it is recommended to fill the bowl up to ¾ full. For
liquids, fill the bowl up to the Max level indicated on the bowl.
¾ To avoid over-processing when coarsely chopping food, frequently check
consistency.
¾ Different foods require varying degrees of pressure for best shredding and slicing
results. In general, use light pressure for soft, delicate food (strawberries,
tomatoes, etc.), moderate pressure for medium foods (zucchini, potatoes, etc.),
and firmer pressure for harder foods (carrots, apples, hard cheeses, partially
frozen meats, etc.).
¾ Let hard cheeses such as Parmesean come to room temperature before
processing. For best processing results, it is recommended to chill soft cheeses
such as cheddar in freezer for 10 to 15 minutes before processing.
