INSERTING AND REPLACING THE BATTERY
TEST FUNCTION AND MAINTENANCE
1. Remove the base plate from the device.
2. Insert the supplied batteries into the battery compart-
ment. Ensure that the batteries are fitted according to
the correct polarity. If the batteries are inserted incor-
rectly, you will hear a beep.
3. Replace the device onto the base plate.
1. Press the TEST/MENU button.
2. The POWER/FAULT/ALARM light will illuminate. The LCD
will turn blue and display “_ _”. Release the TEST/RESET
button.
The red ALARM light will illuminate. The LCD will turn blue
and display “_ _”. The detector will emit an intermittent for
4 seconds.
The yellow FAULT light will illuminate. The LCD will display
“Err” and emit an sound every 2 seconds. The alarm is not
functioning correctly. See point 5 for more information.
When in stand-by mode, the digital screen
alternates every 20 seconds between dis-
playing the room temperature and the CO
concentration.
The battery is checked every 45 seconds in stand-by mode.
The green POWER lamp flashes every 45 seconds.
When the battery voltage drops below 3.5V, the detector
will emit a short beep sound. In the event of low voltages,
the detector will continue to function for a further 7 days.

IMPORTANT: Check your carbon monoxide detector each week. Replace the detector immedi-
ately if it seems to no longer be working properly.
Vacuum your detector every month. Never use cleaning agents or detergents. Test the detector
again after cleaning.
IMPORTANT: Immediately replace the batteries when the indicator shows that the batteries are
flat. Use appropriate batteries and ensure that the batteries are inserted properly.
