LET’S COOK COMBI CHEF ART 162287

General

This attractive Let’s Cook Combi Chef is designed by Jan des

Bouvrie. This appliance not only enables you to prepare

delicious meals; it is also a feast for the eyes, since both the

heating base and the pans are of a sophisticated and luxury

design. The Jan des Bouvrie Let’s Cook Combi Chef is supplied

with a grill plate, grill stone, two grids, and eight pans with

wooden spatulas – offering an attractive background to a

convivial evening in the company of your family or friends.

The grill plate, grill stone and grids supplied with the appliance

enable you to grill, raclette or pan fry food. Moreover with the

half grill plate/half grill stone/grid design these cooking methods

can be combined using just one appliance.

The appliance’s adjustable temperature setting can be used to

set the Let’s Cook Combi Chef to the most suitable temperature

for your meal.

Operation and controls

See Figure 1.

The appliance has the following features:

1 Heating base

2 Temperature indicator light (orange)

3 On/Off indicator light (red)

4 Grille

5 Grill stone

6 Grill plate (double-sided)

7 Spatula

8 Frying / racletting pan

9 Temperature-control dial

10 Tray (detachable)

11 Power cord and plug

Before using for the first time

1 Remove all packaging materials and stickers from the

appliance.

2 Clean the appliance and all accessories (see ‘Cleaning and

maintenance’), and dry them thoroughly.

3 Put the heating base on a stable surface.

4 Switch on the appliance, and adjust it to a high temperature

setting.

• The appliance may emit a little smoke and a

characteristic smell when you switch it on for the first

time. This is normal, and will soon stop. Make sure the

appliance has sufficient ventilation.

5 Allow the appliance to cool down completely.

Preparing the appliance for use

1 Unwind the power cord from the lugs on the base of the

appliance.

2 Put the heating base on a stable surface.

3 Fit the grill plate, grill stone and/or grid, as required, to the

heating base.

4 Put the plug in the wall socket. The red indicator light will

illuminate to show that the appliance has been switched on.

5 Turn the temperature-control dial to set the temperature to

the required level: anticlockwise to increase the

temperature, clockwise to lower the temperature. The

orange light is illuminated until the heating element reaches

the set temperature.

• Please note: the heating base is hot when the appliance

is switched on. Allow the heating base to cool down

completely before moving it.

While you are using the appliance the heating element will

automatically switch on and off to maintain the set temperature.

Consequently the orange indicator light will also automatically

illuminate and extinguish.

Grilling

Grilling is cooking meat, fish and other foods on a grill plate or

grill stone.
