8.1 Li-ion battery (3)
Advantages of Li-ion batteries:
▪ Li-ion batteries have a higher capacity/weight ratio (more power for less heavy, more
compact, battery).
▪ No memory effect (capacity loss after several charge/discharge cycles) like other type
batteries. (Ni-Cd, Ni-MeH,…).
▪ Limited self discharge (also see chapter : Storage).
9 OPERATION
Do not sand plaster surfaces, (WARNING: In this case your guarantee
becomes void) this may clog the motor (brushes, ball bearings,…).
9.1 Switching On-off (Fig. A)
Connect the battery pack (5) to the power tool by pushing the release latch (4).
The tool is switched “On” by the ON/OFF switch (2) located on the front of the tool housing.
Switch the power tool on: push the ON/OFF switch button (2) forwards into the “I” position.
Switch the power tool off: push the ON/OFF switch button (2) backwards to the “O” position.
9.2 Attaching the sandpaper (Fig. 1)
▪ To attach sanding paper, first remove all dirt or foreign matter from the sanding base plate.
▪ Then attach the sanding paper to the sanding base plate, using the hook-and-loop system
of the sanding paper and the sanding base plate.
▪ Make sure the perforations in the paper coincide with those on the sanding base plate, to
ensure optimal dust collection.
▪ The sandpaper should rest flush on the base plate and must not come loose.
▪ Select sandpaper with the correct grain size.
▪ You can be sure to find the right sandpaper among our product range (see accessories).
WARNING: When removing the sanding paper, follow the above procedure
in reverse order.
WARNING: The sand paper must be stick firmly on sanding plate and
should not come loose.
Never use the machine for sanding magnesium work piece.
9.3 Using the dust bag
9.3.1 To install:
Insert the dust bag (7) into dust extraction port, rotate the dust bag anti-clockwise by hand
and lock on the correct position, make sure the dust bag is tightly fastened.
9.3.2 To remove:
When removing the dust bag, follow the above procedure in reverse order.
9.4 Charging the battery pack
