Die MAC-Adresse (Media Access Control) ist die physikalische Adresse eines
Netzwerkadapters, mit der eine eindeutige Identifizierung des Geräts in einem
Netzwerk vorgenommen werden kann (in einem Ethernet-Netzwerk ist diese gleich
mit der Ethernet-Adresse).
LAN
Ein LAN (Local Area Network) ist eine Gruppe von Computern und Geräten, die über
ein kabelgebundenes oder schnurloses (WLAN) Netzwerk miteinander verbunden
sind (z. B. in einem Büro).
JPEG
JPEG ist das im Internet am häufigsten verwendete Dateiformat zur Darstellung von
Bildern. JPEG reduziert die Dateigröße durch verlustbehaftete Komprimierung der
Informationen eines Bildes, und ermöglicht so die schnelle Darstellung im Internet.
Netzwerk

Gegensatz zum SMTP Protokoll, welches für den Versand zuständig ist.
Port number
In der Programmiersprache bezeichnet ein „Port“ den „logischen Verbindungsplatz”
und beschreibt, bezogen auf das Internet Protokoll „TCP/IP“, wie eine Anwendung
einen bestimmten Rechner in einem Netzwerk erreichen kann. Der HTTP-Dienst z. B.
nutzt standardmässig Port 80 und braucht nicht im Uniform Resource Locator (URL)
spezifiziert werden.
