Making connections
1. Connect the LINE OUT jacks of this unit to the
input jacks (CD or AUX) of the amplifier. Make
sure that the white plugs are connected to the
left (L) jacks and the red plugs to the right (R)
jacks.
÷ Be sure not to connect this unit to the amplifier’s
PHONO jacks, as sound will be distorted and normal
playback will not be possible.
2. Connect the power cord to a household AC wall
outlet or an AC outlet on your amplifier.
÷ Make sure plugs are inserted fully into the jacks and wall
outlet.
System remote control with a Pioneer stereo amplifier
that has the Î mark (PD-M406A only)
When a Pioneer stereo amplifier bearing the Î mark is used,
connect the CONTROL IN jack on the rear panel of the CD
player to the CONTROL OUT jack of the amplifier. This will
enable the CD player to be controlled using the remote control
unit supplied with the stereo amplifier. If you do not plan to
use this feature, it is not necessary to connect CONTROL IN/
OUT jacks.
÷ The control cable is supplied with the CD player.
÷ The remote control unit supplied with the amplifier can be
used to control Play, Stop, Pause, Track/Disc Search and
Disc Change operations.
÷ For instructions regarding connections and operation, refer
to the operating instruction manual provided with your
stereo amplifier.

Exécution des connexions
1. Raccorder les prises LINE OUT de cet appareil aux
prises d’entrée (CD ou AUX) de I’amplificateur.
S’assurer que les prises blanches sont connectées
aux prises de gauche (L) et les prises rouges aux
prises de droite (R).
÷ Attention à ne pas connecter cet appareil aux prises
PHONO de l’amplificateur car le son sera distordu et une
lecture normale ne sera pas possible.
2. Brancher le cordon d’alimentation sur une prise
de courant murale ou à la sortie CA de
l’amplificateur.
÷ S’assurer que les prises sont insérées à fond.
Exploitation à distance avec un amplificateur stéréo
Pioneer porteur de la marque Î (PD-M406A
seulement)
Quand un amplificateur Pioneer porteur de la marque Î est
utilisé, relier la prise CONTROL lN du panneau arrière du
lecteur de CD à la prise CONTROL OUT de l’amplificateur.
Cette connexion permet d’exploiter à distance le lecteur de
CD par la télécommande fournie avec l’amplificateur stéréo.
Si l’utilisation de cette fonction n’est pas envisagée, il est
inutile de relier les prises CONTROL lN/OUT.
÷ Le câble de contrôle est fourni avec le lecteur de CD.
÷ La télécommande fournie avec l’amplificateur commande
les opérations de lecture, d’arrêt, d’arrêt momentané, de
recherche de piste/de disque et de changement de disque.
÷ Pour les détails concernant les connexions et le
fonctionnement, se reporter au mode d’emploi de
l’amplificateur stéréo.
Avant d’effectuer les raccordement, ou de les modifier,
veillez à couper l’alimentation et à débrancher la fiche
du cordon d´alimentation.
