should be used after, say, every 50 hours of
operation.
With the recorder in normal use, there-
fore,
cleaning in this way should be carried out once
a month.
The heads may also be cleaned however using a
soft cloth or a cotton bud. To clean in this way
proceed as follows:
Ensure that the recorder is disconnected from
the mains.
Remove the cover of the cassette holder (Fig. 3).
Press eject key @.
Moisten the cloth or cotton bud with a little
alcohol or proprietary cleaning spirit.
Now clean the fronts of the heads 0 and @
(Fig.
3), capstan @ and the rubber pressure roller

Never use any other cleaning agents and do not
touch the heads with sharp or metal objects.
Allow all parts to dry before reconnecting the
recorder to the mains.
The driving mechanism must not be
lubricated.
