La pressione alta è un fattore a rischio
La pressione sistolica (SYS) viene considerata alta
quando supera i 160 mmHg mentre quella
diastolica è alta se superiore a 95 mmHg In
genere si parla di “pressione alta”quando una
delle due pressioni supera i valori sopra indicati.
Valori limite
Pressione sistolica: 140-160 mmHg
Pressione diastolica: 90-95 mmHg
Valori standard
Pressione sistolica: max. 140 mmHg
Pressione diastolica: max 90 mmHg
Cause e conseguenze della pressione
alta
Fra le varie cause che determinano la pressione
alta vanno ricordate: obesità, alto tasso di
colesterolo, fumo, eccessivo consumo di alcool,
stress emotivi, eccessivo uso di sale, mancanza di
esercizio fisico, ereditarietà ed alcuni disturbi
epatici e metabolici.
Con il passare del tempo, la pressione alta può
ridurre l'elasticità delle pareti delle
arterie(arteriosclerosi), una delle principali cause
di infarto cardiaco, emorragie cerebrali e malattie
del fegato.
