MHP: introduction on Interactivity
This Digital TV supports the new digital interactivity standard called MHP (Multimedia Home Platform).
Some digital TV channels will contain MHP applications like games, additional information, voting, etc,
and others will not.The following paragraphs explain how to ascertain whether MHP applications are
available and how to control them.
On each digital channel, you can have several
applications together with the digital channel
(games, voting, interactive applications, ...).

keys to select the digital channel of your choice.

If MHP applications are available, an icon will appear
at the top right of the screen for a few seconds:
“ In most cases, an MHP application will be
started automatically.This process can take
from 5 seconds to several minutes depending
on the size of the application.
‘ The content of the application is defined by the
service provider and you will have to follow
the on screen instructions.The keys which are
generaly used within apllications are:

c and îÏȬ keys,

key to select or activate.
• coloured keys (red,green,yellow and blue),
( To stop the application, you can :
• Follow the instruction of the application itself
to stop it
• Press the white EXIT key to
leave
the application
and go to the Applications Menu. Select the
application you want to stop with the cursor
keys and press the yellow
STOP key.
• Select an another channel by using the
@
P
#
keys.
Use of digital applications
Digital applications menu
The digital applications menu enables you to
control the applications built-into the set or
those downloaded (MHP) via the broadcaster.
& From digital mode, press the
‹ MENU
key.
The
Applications menu appears :
é The current digital channel is displayed in a
small window in the middle of the screen.
On the left, you will find icons for the built in
(resident) applications (TV Guide and Setup).
On the right, you will find the MHP applications
that are available on the selected channel.
“ Use the cursor key to select the application
you which to use and press
u to activate it
(or press the colour key corresponding to “Start”).
‘ You can select :

TV guide :This allows you to look up digital
programmes as you would in a newspaper or
TV magazine (see page 11) and to program
the tv for recording (p. 12).
The
o key on the remote control also gives
direct access to the TV guide.

Setup :
This accesses all the digital setup menus.
• MHP applications (on the right of the window) :
these applications (when available) are
broadcast by each digital channel.The
content is defined by the service provider.
If you want to stop an MHP application, select the
application with the cursor and press the colour
key corresponding to “Stop”.The red
START
key is
only used in case an application is not
automatically started.The icon of any applications
currently running will be animated.
( Press the

key to leave the
menu or press the close key (blue).
