Fill the hopper with the material to be
shredded. When feeding branches into
the machine, hold them until they feed
in automatically. The material is drawn
in and shredded.
Be sure to keep to the infeed speed of
the shredder and do not overload the
machine.
To prevent clogging, alternate the
shredding of branches with thin twigs
and wilted garden waste that has been
stored for several days.
Remove soil and stones from roots
before shredding to prevent the blades
becoming blunt sooner than necessary.
Do not shred soft, damp material such
as kitchen waste. Compost it instead.
Pick up a few dry branches at the end
and use them to help clean the machi-
ne.
Only switch off the machine when all
shredded material has passed through
the blade area. Otherwise, the blade
may become blocked when restarting.
Removing blockages
Before any maintenance or clea-
ning work, turn the machine off,
pull out the mains plug and wait for
the blades to stop. There is a risk to
life and limb through electric shock,
re and rotating blades.
Ensure that the power cable (5) is
disconnected from the mains supply.
Release the housing lock (9).
Tilt the front section of the shredders
housing forwards.
You can also completely remove the
front section of the housing and place
it aside. To do so, loosen the housing
lock (9) and remove the front section of
the housing upwards vertically.
This gives you free access to the blades
(17).
Wear safety gloves.
There is a risk of injury.
You can now remove the blockage in
the machine.
The machine features a
safety switch.
The housing lock has to be
tightened again by hand as
otherwise the machine will
not be able to be started
later.
