Folding up the device

For space-saving storage the grip rod can

be folded twice.

1. Remove the grass collection box (20).

2. Unhinge the starter cable (6).

3. Open the quick release lever (4b) on

the upper bar (1). Quick release lever

(4b), washer (4a) and screws (4c) can

remain mounted.

4. Turn the quick release levers (5) cross-

wise towards the bar. Gently pull the

quick release levers (5) away from the

lower bar (3).

5. Fold both handles down again.

The Bowden cable (25) must not be

jammed when you do this.

Storage during winter

Failure to follow the storage instruc-

tions may leave fuel remnants in the

carburettor, which in turn can cause

start-up problems or permanent

damage.

• Start the engine and allow it to run until

it goes out due to a lack of petrol.

• Perform an oil change (see “Changing

the engine oil”).

• Preserve the engine:

- Remove the spark plug ( 12) (see

“Cleaning and servicing”);

- Fill a tablespoon of engine oil into

the engine compartment through the

spark plug opening;

- Slowly pull the starter cable ( 6)

several times with the safety bracket

(2) pulled to distribute the oil in-

side the engine;

Screw the spark plug ( 12) back

in.

• Dispose of used oil and petrol residues

in an environmentally-responsible way

(see „Disposal/Environmental Protec-

tion“).

The petrol tank does not have to be

emptied if you add a fuel additive

to the petrol (see “Spare parts/ac-

cessories”).

Transport

• Do not tilt the device forwards or to the

side.

• Do not touch the blade.

• Be aware that the blade will continue

to rotate for a short time after being

switched off.

• Never lift or carry the device when the

engine is running.

• Be aware of the weight of the device

and do not overstrain yourself.

• Do not transport the device upside

down and do not tilt it as otherwise

fuel might leak out.

• Before transporting between two loca-

tions, empty the fuel tank with a petrol

suction pump. Do not empty the fuel

tank indoors, near ﬁ re or when smok-

ing. Gas vapours can cause explosions

or ﬁ re.

Disposal/environmental

protection

• The device, accessories and packaging

should be properly recycled.

- Carefully empty the petrol and oil

tank and take your device to a re-

cycling plant. The plastic and metal

parts used on your device can be

properly sorted according to materi-

als and grades and efﬁ ciently recy-

cled.
