Initial start-up

Caution! Risk of injury due to

rotating blade. Only perform

work on the device when the

engine is switched off and

has come to a stop.

Before starting the device, you must

- Remove all transport safety devices,

- fold up the grip rod and lock the quick

release levers,

- ﬁ ll the engine oil,

- ﬁ ll the petrol,

- mount the grass collection box if neces-

sary,

- set the cutting height if necessary.

Mounting the lower bar

Make sure that the Bowden cable

(25) is not crushed during the as-

sembly of the grip rod.

1. Fold the lower bar (3) up.

2. Turn the quick release levers (5) cross-

wise towards the bar. Gently pull the

quick release levers (5) away from the

lower bar (3).

3. Move the lower bar (3) to the desired

position.

There are three possible positions.

4. Turn the quick release levers (5) back

to their original position. The quick re-

lease levers click into place.

Mounting the handlebar

1. Place the handlebar (1) onto the lower

bar (3).

2. Slide a screw (4c) through the holes on

the grip rods on both sides.

3. Slide one washer (4a) on each of the

screws (4c). The grooved side of the

washer (4a) should face the handlebar

(1).

4. Screw the quick release levers (4b) on

the screws (4c).

5. Lock the quick release levers (4b) by

pressing them towards the handlebar

(1).

The quick release levers must rest

against the bar in such a way that tight-

ening can be carried out with medium

force. Otherwise, the quick release

levers must be turned clockwise for ten-

sioning them or anti-clockwise to loosen

them.

6. Fasten the Bowden cable (25) using a

cable clamp (23) to the lower bar (3).

Fitting the starter cable

1. Pull the safety bracket (2) towards the

upper handlebar (1) and hold it in this

position.

2. Slowly pull the starter cable by the

starter handle (6) towards the bar.

3. Guide the starter cable into the starter

cable guide (24).

4. Release the safety bracket (2).

Removing/attaching the

grass collection box

Caution: Do not run the de-

vice if the grass collection

box or impact protection are

not attached properly. Risk

of injury!

Attaching the grass collection box

to the device:

1. Lift the rear impact protection (19).

2. Hold the grass collection box (20) by

the carrying handle (21).

3. Hang the grass collection box (20) into

the grass collection box attachment

(28) on the rear of the device.
