This function removes track marks so the tracks either side effectively
become one track.
Make sure the disc is record enabled.
Preparation:
Insert the MD (
a
page 12).
Play the track that comes after the track mark you want to remove.
1 Press [EDIT MODE] to select “COMBINE?”.
Each time you press the button:
TRACK ERASE?
/ MOVE? / COMBINE? / DIVIDE?
2 Press [ENTER].
A segment before and after the track mark plays repeatedly.
(8 seconds in SP mode, 16 seconds in LP2 mode, and 32 seconds
in LP4 mode.)
3 Press [ENTER] to confirm the combination.
Play stops and “UTOC Writing” and “” flashes on the
display. When this stops flashing the track mark has been removed
and the two tracks now are counted as one.
To cancel part way through
Press [g STOP/CANCEL].
To divide the tracks again
Use DIVIDE (
a
page 34).
To combine tracks while the disc is stopped
q Press [q/h MD] to select “MD” as the source then press [g STOP/
CANCEL].
w Press [EDIT MODE] to select “COMBINE?”.
e Press [ENTER].
r Press [u/2 REW/ ] or [1/i /FF] to select which pair of
tracks to combine.
t Press [ENTER].
y Press [ENTER].
¡ If you combined titled tracks, the combined track retains only the title
of the first track.
¡ You cannot combine tracks recorded with different recording modes
(SP, LP2, and LP4).
¡ Sound may be unusual at the point where you join two tracks recorded
with LP4 mode.
