Troubleshooting guide
Before requesting service, make the following checks.
If you are in doubt about some of the check points, or if the remedies indicated in the chart do not solve the
problem, consult your dealer for instructions.

Common problems
No power. Ensure the AC mains lead is connected. 11
No sound or image
after playback starts.
Select the correct source.
Turn the muting off.
Check that the digital signals can be decoded by this system.
Check if the cords and connectors are correctly connected to
speakers and other equipment.
(When the audio is not heard from TV) The optical fibre
or stereo phono cable is necessary to connect with a TV
incompatible with ARC. For details, refer to the operating
instructions for the connected TV.
• Set OFF ” for “Setting when the beginning of a CD track is cut ”.
Turn this system off then on again.
Output the test signals of speakers and adjust the speakers.
If the connections are normal, this may be a cable-related
problem. Use other cables and make connections again.

Image distortion or
noise occurs.
If your mobile phone has been put on the system or is being
used extremely close to it, keep enough distance in use.
Check if the cable is connected properly.

does not work.
Replace the batteries if they are worn. 6
No sound from
microphone connected
to DVD player
(karaoke).
No sound is output from microphone if this system is digitally-
connected with a DVD player. Make analogue connection.

There is no DTS audio
output.
Set the digital audio output setting on the connected equipment
to Bitstream.
Sound is not heard
when playing DVD
audio.
This may occur due to digital copyright protection of the disc if
using digital connection. This system may not be able to play
sources with sampling frequency of over 48 kHz.
Sound stops.

When this system detects
some abnormality, the
protection circuit is
activated and turns off the
system automatically.
Amplifier output is abnormal.
Straining of the speakers through excessive volume or power.
This may occur if you use the system in an extremely hot
environment.
Curtains or other objects may be blocking the exhaust hole.

again. (The protection circuit is reset.)
