Het OneTouch Verio® bloedglucosesysteem is bedoeld

voor zelftests buiten het lichaam (in vitro diagnostisch

gebruik) door mensen met diabetes als hulpmiddel thuis

en door medisch personeel in een klinische omgeving om

te bepalen of de diabetes effectief onder controle wordt

gehouden.

Het OneTouch Verio® bloedglucosesysteem mag niet

gebruikt worden voor de diagnose of opsporing van

diabetes en bij pasgeborenen.

Testprincipe

Glucose in het bloedmonster wordt vermengd met

speciale chemische stoffen in de teststrip. Hierdoor wordt

een zwakke elektrische stroom geproduceerd. De sterkte

van deze stroom is afhankelijk van de hoeveelheid glucose

in het bloedmonster. Uw meter meet de stroom, berekent

uw bloedglucosewaarde, geeft het resultaat weer en slaat

het resultaat op in het geheugen.
