Het OneTouch® Verio™ Pro bloedglucosesysteem mag niet

gebruikt worden voor:

• de diagnose van diabetes;

• het testen van zuigelingen;

• patiënten bij wie in de afgelopen 24 uur een

D-xyloseabsorptietest is uitgevoerd, aangezien hierdoor

onnauwkeurig hoge waarden kunnen worden gemeten.

Testprincipe

Glucose in de bloeddruppel wordt vermengd met speciale

chemische stoffen in de teststrip. Hierdoor wordt een

zwakke elektrische stroom geproduceerd. De sterkte van

deze stroom is afhankelijk van de hoeveelheid glucose

in de bloeddruppel. De meter meet de stroom, berekent

uw bloedglucosewaarde, geeft het bloedglucoseresultaat

weer en slaat dit op in het geheugen.
