TROUBLESHOOTING
WARNING: For your personal safety, be sure to
disconnect the AC power supply cord before
proceeding with any maintenance or cleaning action.
Cleaning the main unit
Clean the outside of the unit with a clean soft cloth
moistened with luke-warm water. Do not use benzene,
thinner or alcohol, they may mar the finish of the
surface.
SYMPTOM POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION
No power or picture Power supply cord is not correctly
conected with the main unit.
Connect the power supply cord
with the main unit.
Power supply cord is not plugged into
an AC outlet.
Plug the power supply cord into
an AC outlet.
The wrong input source is selected. Select the correct input source.
The input source fails to connect with
the TV.
Check the connections.
No sound Volume is set to minimum. Turn up the volume by pressing
VOL +.
The MUTE button on the remote
control is pressed.
Press MUTE on the remote
control.
An incorrect sound system mode is
set.
Set a correct sound system from
the main menu to match your TV.
Failed to play The disc is incorrectly inserted. Check the disc is properly
inserted.
Fingerprints or dust on the disc.
Clean the disc.
Failed to respond to remote
control
Obstacles placed between remote
control and unit.
Remove obstacles between
remote control and unit.
Remote control outside control range. Aim remote control at the sensor
on the front panel.
Batteries in remote control are flat. Check batteries and replace them
if necessary.
Picture interferences Interfering equipment is nearby the
player.
Keep any kind of interfering
devices away from the player.
Dirt and scratches on the disc. Clean or replace disc.
Unit might hang or have switched to
standby.
Shut down the unit, wait ten
seconds, and restart the unit.
Failed to work with keys Power surges or other electrical
phenomena.
