DTMF-tonen (Dual Tone Multi-Frequency)

Het systeem dat voor touch-tonetelefoons wordt gebruikt. DTMF houdt in

dat elke toets een bepaalde frequentie of toon krijgt toegewezen, zodat deze

toets gemakkelijk kan worden herkend door een microprocessor. Met behulp

van DTMF-tonen kunt u communiceren met voicemailboxes,

geautomatiseerde telefoonsystemen, enzovoort.

Extra toepassing

Een extra toepassing is extra software die vanaf het Internet (WWW) kan

worden gedownload. De communicator gebruikt extra toepassingen voor

het weergeven van documenten die de toepassing Internet zelf niet kan

weergeven.

Hotspot

Een webpagina (www-pagina) kan hotspots zoals selectielijsten,

tekstinvoervelden en reset/submit-knoppen bevatten, waarmee u informatie

kunt invoeren.

HSCSD

HSCSD (High-Speed Circuit-Switched Data) staat voor draadloze, parallelle

dataoverdracht in de mobiele communicatie. De gebruikte snelheden

kunnen oplopen tot 38,4 kbps, viermaal zo snel als de norm voor GSM-

communicatie in 1999. HSCSD is vergelijkbaar met de snelheid van diverse

computermodems die met moderne vaste telefoonnetwerken

communiceren.

HTML (Hypertext Mark-up Language)

Een taal die wordt gebruikt voor het definiëren van het uiterlijk en de inhoud

van WWW-documenten.
