f) Setting the daylight level
The daylight level makes sure the lighting is not switched on when there is
sufficient daylight. The sensor has to be mounted on a place with natural
incident daylight – if possible.
g) Setting ‘light not on’ level
If the photocell measures this set light level (lux), the lighting does not
switch on, even if motion is detected. From the moment this daylight
level is reached, there is sufficient incident daylight in the room. If the
daylight level drops below the set value, the lighting is switched on if
motion is detected.
h) Lux range (fig.12, blue potentiometer)
Min. 10lx: Turn the potentiometer completely counterclockwise. The lighting
is never switched on, even if motion is detected.
Max. 10lx: Turn the potentiometer completely clockwise. The lighting is
always switched on.
Normal: the normal range is 200 to 600lx.
Recommended (fabric) setting: 50% (+/-500lx).
How to make the settings Wait until the daylight level in the room is
sufficiently high before making the settings.
- Enter the dimmer’s test mode
- Set the daylight level to max.: turn the blue potentiometer completely
clockwise. The lighting is switched on, regardless of the daylight level.
Turn the key counterclockwise for approx. 30°.
- Check: Go away from the sensor. Stand still and wait until the lighting is
switched off. Then move to the degree that the lighting shoud normally
be switched on.
- Setting the desired daylight level: If the lighting is switched on, turn the
blue potentiometer another 30°. Go away from the sensor, wait until
the lighting is switched off and repeat the test. Repeat until the lighting
remains switched off.
