ATTENTION! Check all parts for completeness before beginning assembly.
ATTENTION! To avoid accidents or injuries from sharp edges, assemble and use with caution. 2 people are needed to assemble the product.
CONSIDER BEFORE USE:
Do not move the appliance while it is hot.
Do not use the appliance indoors!
Due to safety reasons, do not use this appliance with liquid fuels.
The appliance must be used on a level surface.
Do not use the appliance near flammable objects (keep at a safe distance, at least 3 metres).
Do not leave the appliance unattended during use.
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of ex-
perience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.
WARNING: Danger of carbon monoxide poisoning. Do not use the appliance indoors, only operate it outdoors!
ATTENTION! Always wear gloves when adjusting the appliance. The surfaces can become very hot during the grilling/smoking process.
IMPORTANT! Do not pour water onto the appliance while it is still hot.
INITIAL LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Open the lid of the appliance and remove the cooking grates, grease tray and heat protection plate from the body. Inspect the fire box. Remove any
foreign items. Ensure that the fire box is clear of any debris. Leave the lid open.
Note:
You can line the bottom of the body and the grease tray with heavy-duty aluminium foil. This will make cleaning and general maintenance of the appliance
easier.
2. Open the pellet chamber lid. Inspect the interior of the pellet chamber, and remove any foreign items. Ensure that the feeder screw is clear of any debris.
3. Be sure that the temperature control knob is in the “OFF” position. Plug the power cord into a grounded outdoor electrical outlet.
4. Close the chamber lid. Turn the temperature control knob to “SMOKE”. Check the feeder screw from fire box inside the body to see if the feeder screw is
turning. Note that the chamber lid must be closed in order for the feeder screw to start turning. DO NOT place fingers or objects in the feeder screw tube. This
will cause serious injury.
5. Place your hand 10 cm OVER the fire box, to feel if there is an air fSMOKE from the draft inducer fan. DO NOT place your hand in the fire box.
6. After 1 minute, check to see if the igniter element is getting hot and gSMOKEing red. DO NOT touch the igniter element as it will get extremely hot and
you could be seriously burned.
7. Turn the temperature control knob to “OFF”.
8. Fill the pellet chamber with max. 5 kg of all-natural wood pellets. Never use heating fuel pellets. Close the pellet chamber lid.
9. Turn the temperature control knob to “HIGH”. Once the pellets start falling into the fire box, turn the temperature control knob to “SMOKE”. Wait until the
pellets have started to burn and white grey smoke starts to rise. Turn now the temperature control knob to “OFF”.
10. Re-insert the heat protection plate, grease tray and cooking grates into the body. Ensure that the grease bucket is installed. Close the lid.
Note:
For first time operation, it is highly recommended that the appliance be “seasoned” before cooking any food. This process will burn any excess oil and sealants
used in the manufacturing and packaging of the appliance. Please see the folSMOKEing instructions beSMOKE.
SEASONING THE GRILL:
Prior to first cooking with the appliance, it is recommended that the appliance be seasoned. This is important in order to burn off any excess oil or paint resi-
due from inside the appliance.
Load the maximum amount of 2.5 kg of pellets into the pellet chamber and leave the lid open. Turn the temperature control knob to “SMOKE”. After 2 minutes,
the pellets will start to burn. At this point, close the lid and let them burn for 45 minutes.
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
The appliance has two modes to control the pellet feeding speed. These are the cook mode and the smoke mode. The cook mode is for grilling or sSMOKE
cooking, while the smoke mode is for smoking and adding flavour to foods being prepared.
SMOKE MODE
Turn the temperature control knob to “SMOKE”. The appliance will now be in smoke mode. The LED screen will display the current temperature in the appli-
