LISTENING TO THE RADIO
LISTENING TO CD DISC
Before throwing any batteries away, consult your distributor who may be able to take them back for specic recycling.
This unit operates on AC (230V
50 Hz) or DC (9V ) 6x 1.5V Type UM-2 / R 14 / ’’ C’’ (Batteries not included).
Automatic standby mode
In a concern of saving energy, when playback has reached to the end and no control is operated on the device for a period of 10 minutes, the
unit will automatically switch to Standby (OFF) mode. In order to use the device again, slide the function switch [RADIO-TAPE (OFF)-CD/AUX]
to OFF position and then move to RADIO or CD/AUX position.
AC OPERATION
Connect the AC power cord from the unit to the mains. Make sure that the voltage is compatible with your device before turning it on.
Disconnect the AC power cord from the mains when not in use.
BATTERY OPERATION
Open the battery compartment at the bottom of the unit and insert 6 x “C” size batteries, observing the polarity diagram indicated inside the
compartment and close the compartment. To switch from AC power to battery power, disconnect the AC power cord.
Battery Replacement
Batteries should be replaced when the volume decreases or the sound distorts.
Notes on batteries
• Do not mix different types of batteries or old batteries with new ones.
• Never recharge the batteries, apply heat to them or take them apart.
• Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, re or the like.
• Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
NOTE: In order to avoid leakage, always remove the batteries when unit will not be used for a long period of time.
1. Slide the function switch [RADIO-TAPE (OFF)-CD/AUX] to RADIO position.
2. Select FM ST./ FM by switching the band selector.
3. Select your radio station by the TURNING control and adjust the volume control to your desired sound level.
4. To turn off the unit, Slide the function switch [RADIO-TAPE (OFF)-CD/AUX] to TAPE (OFF) position.
To enhance radio reception ability:
FM: Extend the FM antenna
Note:
- FM stereo indicator lights if receive FM stereo broadcast and the BAND switch set on “FM ST”.
- When too much noise is heard during FM STEREO reception, set BAND switch to FM.
1. Open the CD door.
2. Insert the disc with the label facing up and then close the compartment.
3. Slide the function switch [RADIO-TAPE (OFF)-CD/AUX] to CD/AUX position. Display shows “ -- ”.
4. The total number of tracks is displayed, press
to start playback.
5. Adjust the VOLUME control to the desired level.
NOTE: During the playback, use the to suspend momentarily the playing track. Press once again to resume playing.
6. To stop listening to the disc, press button and then slide the function switch [RADIO-TAPE (OFF)-CD/AUX] to OFF position.
OTHER CD PLAYER FUNCTIONS
SKIP/ SEARCH DOWN & SKIP/SEARCH UP
1. Press to skip forward to the next track or repeatedly to skip several tracks.
2. Press return to the beginning of the track, or press repeatedly to skip backwards several tracks.
3. Press and hold or to search quickly within a track.
REPEAT PLAYBACK
Repeatedly press REP. button to select one of the following playback modes.
• Repeat one (The repeat indicator is ashing).
• Repeat All (The repeat indicator remains on. )
• Normal playback.

PROGRAM:
1. Press STOP .
2. Press PROG., “01”blinks.
3. Select the desired track with or then press PROG to save the program in memory.
4. Repeat step 2-3 until the end of your programming.
5. Press to start playback.
6. This PROGRAM function is automatically canceled when opening the CD door OR shutdown of the unit OR press button twice.
Note:
CD up to 20 programs
NOTE ON COMPACT DISCS
• Do not use irregular shape CDs (example: heart-shaped, octagonal ones). It may result in malfunctions.
• Do not place more than one disc in the disc compartment.
• Do not try to open the disc compartment during playing.
• Do not touch the lens. Doing so may cause malfunction.
CD-Rs or CD-RWs playback capability at this player may vary depending on quality of media, CD-Burner, speed of burning and application
software.
LISTENING TO THE CASSETTE
RECORDING THE RADIO
1. Slide the function switch [RADIO-TAPE (OFF)-CD/AUX] to TAPE (OFF) position.
2. Press to open the cassette door and insert the cassette (tape at the top) in the compartment. Then close the cassette door.
3. Press to start playing and adjust the volume level.
4. Press to go forward or to rewind your tape.
5. Press to suspend momentarily the tape and release to resume play.
6. To stop playing, press and press again to take back your cassette.

to open the cassette door and insert a normal (TAPE) blank tape in the cassette compartment.
2. Follow procedures 1 to 3, in “LISTENING TO THE RADIO” section.
3. Press together with the button to start recording.
4. To suspend momentarily recording, press . To resume record release .
5. To stop recording, press .
6. To listen to your recording, slide the function switch [RADIO-TAPE (OFF)-CD/AUX] to TAPE (OFF) position, press rewind the tape to
search your recording, press to listen.
