To accustom yourself to your appliance, follow
the instructions below for the dismantling and
setting-up of the juice extractor element (B).
. Dismantling
Your appliance must be unplugged.
- Pull out the pusher (B1) and the upper casing
lid (A).
- Take hold of the feeder tube (B3) and turn it
clockwise till the stop.
- Pull the feeder tube upwards to take out the
juice extractor in one piece.
- Turn the lid (B2) anticlockwise then detach it
from the container (B5) and pull out the
grater and filter unit (B4).
. Setting up

Insert into the motor unit (F); the container (B5)
,
the grater and filter unit (B4) and the lid (B2).
- Grasp the feeder tube (B3) and turn it
anticlockwise till the stop.
- Put in place the upper casing lid (A).
NB : The upper casing lid (A) is not always
necessary for the functioning of the juice
extractor.
Now you can use your juice extractor.
Starting up
- Plug in the appliance.
- Make sure that the pulp collector (C) and
the graduated juice jug (D) are firmly in place
and that the cover for pulp collector (C1) is
tightly closed.
- Screw in the juice extractor element (B)
turning it anticlockwise till the stop and put
on the upper casing lid (A).
- Switch the juice extractor on position 1 to start.

Place the fruits or vegetables via the feeder
tube (B3) and guide them with the pusher (B1).
- When the graduated juice jug (D) is full, stop
the motor and empty. Never go past the
MAXI level marked on the jug.
- To replace the container, place it on the juice
container base (E) and make it slide towards
the motor unit (F).
- When the pulp collector (C) is full, stop the
motor and empty.
. For juicy pulps never go past the marking
indicated on the collector showing the Maxi-
mum level.
. For drier pulps, you may use the collector
to the fullest capacity.
- To replace it insert the hooks in the
corresponding slots on the motor unit (F) till
it tightens.
If the fuse cover is detachable, never use the
plug with the cover omitted. Replacement
covers can be obtained from your service
agent.
Fit the appropriate plug according to the ins-
tructions in paragraph "Fitting a plug". With
alternative plugs a 5 amp fuse must be fitted
either in the plug or adaptor or at the main
fuse box.
APPLIANCES WITHOUT FITTED PLUG
FITTING A PLUG - IMPORTANT
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
BLUE : NEUTRAL
BROWN : LIVE
But the colours may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in
your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be
connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter ‘N’ or coloured black. The wire which
is coloured BROWN must be connected to the
terminal which is marked with the letter ‘L or
coloured red.
This appliance is manufactured to conform to
the Low Voltage Electrical Equipment (Safety)
Regulations 1989 and is designed to comply
with BS 3456. It complies with the
requirements of the EEC Directive (89/336/
EEC).
- Always unplug after use or for cleaning.
- If the lead is damaged, apply to an accredited
Moulinex Service Centre as specialised tools
are needed.
- Never put the motor unit into water or under
a running tap.
- Never dismantle the juice extractor when the
motor is running.
- Always use the pusher (B1) to push the
ingredients into the feeder tube, never the
fingers or any other implement.
Safety system : This appliance is fitted with
a system which prevents its starting unless
the juice extractor element (B) is correctly
attached and the pulp collector (C) is in place.
Before the first use
- Dismantle the lid (see dismantling paragraph)
and remove the cardboard protection part
inside it.
- Wash, rinse and dry the parts in contact with
food: the upper casing lid (A), the juice
extractor element (B), the pulp collector (C)
and the graduated juice jug (D).
