Menu Temperature/ Humidity
The WINDWATCH PRO II is provided with a high preci-
sion, digitally preadjusted humidity sensor which responds
rapidly and is insensitive against moisture (thawing and salt
water). The humidity sensor is positioned directly adjacent
to the temperature sensor inside the small opening beneath
the wind sensor. The temperature sensor is placed directly
in this small opening in order to allow for circulation of air
flow. For the development of WINDWATCH PRO II it was
emphasised that the temperature sensor responds rapidly
to major variations. Minor thermal fluctuations are indeed
highly influenced by temperature of the housing. Therefore
in case of precise measuring it should be observed to give
the housing sufficient time to align itself to the ambient
temperature.
Dew Point
Dew Point is that temperature point at which starts the
condensation of air humidity (humidity = 100 %), the
thawing. During thawing the air humidity condensates and
is changed into fluid.
The Dew Point is considered as an important indicator
for the forecast of haze, fog or clouding (cloud base). This
height can be calculated based upon the specified Dew
