Sandkuchen
Zubereitungszeit: 100–110 Minuten
Zutaten für ca. 12 Portionen
200 g Butter
200 g Zucker
4 Eier
Saft und abgeriebene Schale einer
Zitrone
125 g Speisestärke
125 g Mehl
1 TL Backpulver
Zubereitung
1. Butter, Zucker und Eier cremig rüh-
ren. Zitronensaft und Schale zufügen.
2. Das mit Speisestärke und Backpul-
ver vermischte Mehl unterrühren.
3. Teig in eine mit Backpapier ausge-
legte Kastenform geben und die Ober-
fläche mit einem Messer etwa 1 cm tief
einritzen. Kuchen goldgelb backen.
4. Nach dem Backen aus der Form
stürzen, Papier ablösen. Eventuell mit
Puderzucker bestäuben oder mit Zitro
-
nen-Zuckerguss bestreichen.

Tipp: Geschmacklich verändern lässt
sich ein Sandkuchen durch Zufügen
von Orangensaft an Stelle des Zitronen-
saftes. Oder stechen Sie den gebacke-
nen Kuchen mehrmals ein und träufeln
Grand Marnier oder Cointreau in die
Stichstellen. Die Optik verändern Sie
durch Überziehen mit einem Schokola-
denguss an Stelle des Zitronengusses.
