Süßer Brotauflauf
Zubereitungszeit: 60Minuten
für 10Portionen
Zutaten
14Scheiben Weißbrot
80g Butter, weich, ungesalzen
8Eigelb
150g Zucker
1Vanilleschote
300ml Milch
300ml Sahne
100g Rosinen
Zum Bestreuen
Zucker

Flache Auflaufform
Kochtopf
Zubereitung
Die Auflaufform mit etwas Butter aus-
fetten.
Die Kruste des Brotes abschneiden, die
Brotscheiben mit der restlichen Butter
bestreichen und diagonal halbieren.
Eigelb und Zucker in einer Schüssel
verrühren.
Die Vanilleschote der Länge nach hal-
bieren und zusammen mit der Milch
und der Sahne in einem Topf erwärmen.
Die Vanilleschote entnehmen und die
Milch langsam, unter ständigem Rüh-
ren, zu der Ei-Zucker-Mischung geben.
Die Hälfte des Brotes gleichmäßig in
der Auflaufform verteilen, die Rosinen
darüber streuen und das restliche Brot
darauf verteilen.
Die warme Eiermilch gleichmäßig über
den Auflauf geben und 20Minuten zie-
hen lassen. Anschließend mit etwas Zu-
cker bestreuen und in den vorgeheizten
Garraum geben.
