Disassembling the juicer
Put the juice container and the pulp container aside.
Unlock the safety bail, open the juicer lid. Remove the pulp container and juice cover.
WARNING: To avoid damage never use force to remove any parts of the juicer. Follow the instructions carefully
to disassemble the unit.
WARNING: Beware of the sharp blades in the base of the stainless steel sieve. Do not touch the inner side of the
sieve. Only take the sieve on its rim. Never let young children unattended, while the appliance or any part of it is
reachable for them.
Take the sieve holder with both hands and lift to remove it together with the filter basket inside. It needs a little
power to remove the filter holder because for safety reason the sieve holder is well engaged. But do not use
extreme violence to remove. After removing the sieve in the sieve holder can easily be removed and emptied
out by taking it on the rim and turning it upside down.
Cleaning the juicer
Note: Discoloration of plastic parts may occur when processing strongly coloured fruit and vegetables.
Discoloration is harmless. To avoid it, rinse all removable parts after each use immediately under clear water and
clean in warm soapy water by using a fine plastic brush.
Disassemble the unit following the instructions ‘Dissassembling the juicer’.
CAUTION: To avoid damaging the surface of the unit never use abrasive cleaners, cleaning pads or any sharp
objects (i.e. metal scouring pads). Use fine plastic brushes, and warm soapy water. Always handle the appliance
and the parts with care and without any force.
Place the sieve in hot soapy water for a few minutes. Clean all removable parts (sieve, sieve holder, juicer lid,
food pusher and pulp container) in warm soapy water. Caution with the filter basket! Always take it on the rim
and rinse under clear water. Take a fine plastic brush and brush carefully inside out until all residues are
removed. Clean all plastic parts with a soft cloth.
After cleaning rinse under clear water and let dry all parts.
TIP: All removable parts except the motor base can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
Never attempt to clean the motor base and powercord in the dishwasher.
Wipe the motor base with a slightly damp soft cloth or sponge. Take care that water or other liquids can not
drip or spill on the motor base.
Thoroughly dry the motor base and all parts of the appliance after each cleaning and, for some minutes, leave
all parts dry naturally before storage. Always keep the appliance and all parts of it out of the reach of young
children.
To prevent the parts of the appliance from damage and being lost, re-assemble the appliance for storage (see
assembling the juicer)
Storage:
Always clean the appliance before storing (see cleaning and maintainance). Make sure to store the appliance on a
dry clean place, safe from frost, excessive strain (mechanical or electrical shock, heat, moisture) and out of the
reach of children.
REMOVE BLOCKAGE
When juicing hard and fibrous food or working too fast or pushing the food pusher too firmly down, excessive wet
pulp may build up in the filter basket and block the filter mesh.
Immediately switch OFF (position ‘0’), wait until the motor has stopped completely and unplug the appliance.
Put the juice container aside and remove the juicer lid (see disassembling the juicer)
WARNING: Beware of the sharp blades in the filter basket. Only take the filter basket on its rim.
Use a little wooden oor plastic spoon to remove all pulp residues from the filter basket.
