Pull the plug out of the plug socket before any
servicing or cleaning are performed.
Regularly check the support plate (1). Replace
worn support plate (1)
1. Remove the locking screw (18) of the support
plate.
2. Remove support plate (1) and washer (19).
3. Refer to the Accessories chapter for
replacement support plates with velcro-type
fastening.
4. Mount support plate (1) and rotate until it
engages on carrier disc.
5. Re-insert fixing screw (18), together with washer
(19) and tighten.
Regularly check the backing pad (3). Replace
worn backing pad (3)
See page 2, fig. D.
- Pull out brush rim (3).
- Insert new brush rim (order no. 6.26663).
Regularly check the rubber lip (4). Replace
worn rubber lip (4)
See page 2, fig. D.
- Dismantle support plate (1).
- Unscrew fixing screws of the rubber lip (4).
- Mount new rubber lip (order no. 3.44101740).
Replace worn shaft (22)
see fig. , page 3.
Removal:
1. Press pushbutton (e.g. With Allen key) and keep
pressed.
2. Remove shaft.
3. Unscrew the shaft from the sanding head (right-
hand thread)
Fitting:
- Ensure that the shaft core does not fall out from
the shaft tube when fitting and gets dirty.
1. Screw new shaft (order no.: 6.26664) into the
sanding head until the stop, but do not tighten
yet.
2. Bend the “shaft end with pushbutton” towards
the handle bar. Unscrew the shaft end at the
sanding head again until the “shaft end with
pushbutton” can be inserted in the handle bar
and the pushbutton engages (if required turn the
sanding plate slightly by hand to make the
insertion of the shaft easier.)
LSV 5-225 Comfort (only if required):
Readjust tension of the handle bar connection

1. Lift locking bow (6)
2. Swivel the hook holder (7) downwards.
3. Slacken the screw (20).
4. Turn eccentric (21) by one stop.
+ = increase tension
– = reduce tension
5. Tighten the screw (20) again.
6. Repeat step 3 -5 also on the opposite side.
7. Fix handle bar (8) and check tension.
8. If needed, repeat steps 1-7 and, if required, also
turn the eccentric in tht other rotational direction.
Use only genuine Metabo accessories.
Note:
Note: Metabo accessories are adapted to suit
the machine's velcro-type fastening. This increases
the service life of the velcro-type fastening.
