Do not replace the laser with a different
type laser. The laser must be repaired
or replaced by the manufacturer of the
laser or an authorised representative.
ADanger from blocking work-
pieces or workpiece parts!
If blockage occurs:
1. Switch machine OFF.
2. Unplug mains cable.
3. Wear gloves.
4. Clear blockage with suitable tool.
4.3 Symbols on the machine
ADanger!
Disregard of the warnings could lead to
severe personal injury or
material dam-
age.
4.4 Safety devices
Retractable blade guard (24)
The retractable blade guard protects
a
gainst unintentional contact with the
saw blade and from chips flying about.
Safety lock (26)
The safety lock blocks the retractable
blade guard: the saw blade remains
covered and the sawhead cannot be
lowered unless the safety lock is disen-
gaged by pushing it to the side.
Fence (14)
The fence keeps the workpiece from
mo
ving while it is cut. The fence must
always be installed during sawing.
The additional extrusion (28) on the
fence can be moved for cutting longer
w
orkpieces after the lock screw has
been loosened (29):
Installing the transport handle
Screw transport handle to sawhead.
Make sure the lug in the handle fits
into the recess (30) on the sawhead.
Installing the table extension
1. Take right and left table extensions
out of the transport packaging.
2. Unscrew screws (32) on the guide
rails of right and left table exten-
sions.
3. Push the guide rails of the table ex-
tensions all the way into the recepta-
clesMake sure the stock stop (31)
on the table extension can be swung
up as illu
strated.
4. Lift saw at its front legs, tilt carefully
to the rear and put it down on its
back so that it cannot tip over.
5. Screw screws back into the guide
ra
ils.
6. Hold saw by its front leg, tilt carefully
forward and put it down.
7. Set the desired table width and stop
the table extension with the stop le-
ver (16).
Installation
For safe working the machine must be
securely fastened to a sturdy support.
This support may be a firmly attached
plywood sheet or a workbench.
The ideal height of the base is
800mm.
The saw must remain stable, even
when large workpieces are being cut.
Long workpieces must additionally be
supported using suitable accessories.
3 Note:
For mobile use the device can be
screwe
d onto a plywood or core bord
(500 mm × 500 mm, at least 19 mm
thick). When the machine is being used
the sheet must be attached to a work-
bench with G-clamps.
1. Firmly bolt machine to the support.
2. Release transport lock:
Press sawhead down lightly and
hold
. Pull transport locking pin (7)
out of deep groove (33), rotate 90°
and engage with flat groove (34).
3. Let the sawhead swing up slowly.
4. Keep the packaging materials for lat-
er use or discard in an environmetal-
ly-oriented manner.
Transport
1. Swing sawhead down and engage
tran
sport locking pin (7) with deep
groove .
2. Dismount all add-on parts projecting
from th
e machine.
A
Caution!
Do not use the protective devices to
transport the saw.
3. Lift machine by the carrying handle.
ON/OFF switch for motor (27)
To turn the motor ON:
Press and hold the ON/OFF switch.
To turn the motor OFF:
Release the ON/OFF switch.
ON/OFF switch for cutting area
il
lumination (36)
Switch the lighting for the cutting area
on and off.
ON/OFF switch for laser guide (35)
Switch the laser guide on and off.
Bevel tilt setting
After releasing the locking lever (13) on
the rear the saw can be tilted to the left
be
tween 0° and 45° from vertical posi-
tion (37).
ADanger!
To keep the bevel angle from changing
whi
le sawing, the locking lever of the
track arm holder must be tightened.
Rotating table
For mitre cuts the rotating table can, af-
ter the lock screw (17) and the table
lock lever (18) have been loosened, be
rotated 47° to the left or 47° to the right.
Th
is way the cutting angle is changed
against the guide edge of the work
piece.
ADanger!
To ensure that the mitre angle does not
change during cutting tighten the lock
screw of the rotating table (also in the
preset positions!).
Push/pull action
The track arm permits the cutting of
workpi
eces having a larger cross sec-
tion. The push/pull action can be used
for all types of cuts (standard cross
cuts, mitre cuts, bevel cuts and com-
pound mitre cuts as well as grooves).
When the track arm is not needed se-
cure it in the rear position with the lock
screw (11).
Cutting depth limiter
Together with the track arm, the cutting
depth limiter (44) makes grooving pos-
sible.
7.1 Installing the chip bag
ADanger!
Some types of wood dust (e.g. oak,
be
ech and ash) may cause cancer
when inhaled.
Always work with the dust bag in-
stalled or a suitable dust collector
con
nected.
In addition, use a dust respirator be-
cause the sawdust is not completely
coll
ected or extracted.
– Empty the chip bag periodically. Wear
a dust mask when emptying the chip
bag.
When operating the machine with the
supplied dust bag:
Place the dust bag (5) on to the dust
extraction port (38). Make sure the
zipper (39) on the dust bag is closed.
Hazardous area warning
Do not reach into saw blade area.
Do not operate tool in damp or
wet environment.
Read operating instructions.
Wear safety goggles and hearing
protection.
