PREPARING THE APPLIANCE

Eachindividualapplianceischeckedatthefactorybut,for

safety’ssake,youshouldcheckcarefullyafterunpacking

that the appliance has not been damaged during transport.

• Checkwhetherthereisanyvisibledamage(e.g.inthe

form of dents or similar), if the door closes properly,

and if the hinges are in order.

• Iftheapplianceappearstohavebeendamaged,

contacttheshopwhereyouboughtit,anddonot

use it until it has been checked by an authorised

specialist.

• Beforeuse,checkthatyouhaveremovedall

transport packaging inside and out.

• Cleantheappliancebeforeusingit(seethesection

“Cleaning”below).

Theheatingelements(10)havebeenoiledduring

manufactureandcouldgiveoffsomesmokewhenrst

usingtheappliance.Thisisentirelyharmlessandwillstop

afterafewminutes.However,sothatthefooddoesnot

tasteofthissmoke,werecommendthatyoutakethe

followingactionbeforeusingtheappliancefortherst

time:

• Placetheoventrayandtherackinsidetheappliance.

• Selectupperandlowerheating,setthetemperature

to230ºCandsetthecookingtimeto15minutes(See

“OperatingtheAppliance”below).Theappliancewill

start automatically.

• Theapplianceswitchesoffautomaticallyafterten

minutes.

Thesmokewillnowhavecompletelydisappearedandyou

can use the appliance to cook food.

Tip:Whenpreparingfoodthatislikelytodripfatduring

cooking,forexamplewhenroastingachicken,itisagood

idea to place a sheet of foil in the base of the oven tray as

wellascoveringthechickenwithfoiltopreventfatfrom

spraying on the oven interior.

USING THE APPLIANCE

Using the oven

1. Connecttheappliance.

2. Place the food inside the appliance (unless the

appliancehastobepreheatedrst)andclosetheoven

door (12).

3. Choosethedesiredfunctionusingthemodeselector

(5)(seeoverviewofcontrolbuttonsabove).Theoven

hasfoursettings:

o Heatfromabove

o Heatfromaboveandbelow

o Heatfrombelow

4. Turnthetemperatureselector(7)clockwisetothe

desired cooking temperature.

5. Theindicatorlamp(8)nexttothetemperatureselector

willlightup.

o Thetemperaturecanbesetbetween90and230

ºC.

6. Turnthetimer(9)clockwisetothedesiredcooking

time.

o Theovenswitchesonwhenthetimerisactivated.

o Ifyoudonotwishtousethetimeryoucanturn

itanti-clockwise.Theovenisnowonuntilitis

turned off manually using the mode selector.
