• Donotimmersetheappliance,cordor
plug in water and make sure no water
enters the appliance.
• Nevertouchtheappliance,cordor
plug with wet or damp hands.
• Thissymbol
means that the
appliance cannot be used in the bath
tub or near water, wash basins, bowls
or the like. Should the appliance
fall into water, always unplug the
appliance before picking up the
appliance.
• Ifusingtheapplianceinthebathroom,
remove the plug from the socket after
use, as water poses a hazard even if
the appliance is switched off.
• Forsafetyreasons,werecommend
use of this appliance only if the
installation is protected by an HFI-/
HPFI relay. It is recommended that
an earth leak circuit breaker with a
nominal operating current that does
notexceed30mAisinstalledinthe
electrical circuit that supplies power to

Use
• Donotblocktheairintakeonthebase
of the appliance or the air outlet when
in use as this may cause the appliance
to overheat. If the appliance overheats,
the overheat cut-out will automatically
shutoffpowertotheappliance.After
a few minutes, when it has cooled
down, the appliance will switch on
again automatically.
• Donotrolltoomuchhairontothe
brushtoavoidblockingtheairow
and causing overheating.
• Inordertoavoidburns,youshould
avoid blowing hot air directly into the
eyes or on very sensitive skin.
• Neverapplywax,gel,mousseor
any other hair product directly to the
brush.
• Donotuseinthevicinityof
combustibleorexplosiveliquidsor
gases; e.g. in the vicinity of oxygen
cylinders.
• Donotcovertheappliance,whileitis
in use.
• Pleasenotethattheappliancewill
remain hot for a while after you
switchitoff.Alwaysallowittocool
completely before you put it away or
clean it.
• Alwayskeeptheapplianceatasafe
distancefromammableobjectssuch
as curtains, tablecloths or the like.

Cord and plug
• Keepthecordandapplianceaway
fromhotobjectsandnakedames.
• Checkthatitisnotpossibletopullor
trip over the cord of the appliance.
• Switchofftheapplianceandremove
the plug from the socket when
cleaning,orwhennotinuse.Avoid
pulling the cord when removing the
plug from the socket. Instead, hold the
plug.
• Ensurethatthecordisfullyextended.
• Thecordmustnotbetwistedor
wound around the appliance.
