●There is a danger of explosion when refuelling. It is ex-

tremely important that all gas appliances in the pas-

senger compartment are switched o when refuelling

or when the vehicle is transported on a ferry or parked

in a garage.

●The ash point of diesel fuel decreases through the ad-

dition of petrol or petroleum. The danger of explosion

is therefore greater when handling this mixture of fuels.

●The fuel ller is on the outside of the vehicle, usually at

the front on the left hand side.

●Only perform these operations when the

vehicle is stationary.

●Pay attention to scarves, ties and other

loose-tting garments. If they accidental-

ly come into contact with moving parts,

they may get caught up and dragged with

serious risks for those wearing them.

●When the engine is warm, work carefully

inside the engine compartment to avoid

getting burnt. Wait for the engine to cool.

Proceed as follows:

1. Turn lever A on the left of the steering column in the

direction of the arrow.

2. Lift the bonnet from the front by lifting lever B.

Proceed as follows:

●Lower the bonnet to approximately 20 centimetres

from the engine compartment and let it drop. Make

sure that the bonnet is completely closed and not only

fastened by the safety catch by trying to open it. If it is

not perfectly closed, do not try to press the bonnet lid

down but open it and repeat the procedure.

For safety reasons, the bonnet must always

be perfectly closed while travelling. Make

sure that the bonnet is perfectly closed and

that the lock is engaged. If you discover

during travel that the lock is not fully en-

gaged, stop immediately and close the bon-

net in the correct manner.
