2Safety InStructIonS
safety rules when traVellinG
Passengers must remain seated with the
seat belts fastened while travelling.
Child restraint seats must be used on seats
provided with three-point seat belts.
Seats facing backwards are not suitable
for installing child restraint systems.
The type-approved number of seats is shown on the
vehicle registration certicate. Apply the rules concern-
ing the use of seat belts of the country you are travel-
ling in.
All gas devices (stoves, heater, boiler and
gas supply to the refrigerator) must be o
during refuelling: risk of explosion.
Before getting behind the wheel and driving, check the
steering, the brakes and the operation of the lights and
signals and make sure that any cabin seat swivels are
correctly locked.
Have the braking system, the gas distribution system
and the electric system of the compartment inspected
at an authorised workshop after storage.
Always check the weight of the objects to be loaded:
never exceed the maximum technically permissible
full load weight for any reason. Distribute the load uni-
formly before setting o.
When working out the total weight, take into account
any load on the roof rack, which should be evenly dis-
tributed over the roof rack and should not, in any case,
exceed the total weight of 75 kg.
The weight stated in the vehicle registration certicate
is subject to a variation of 5% in either direction (Euro-
pean Directive 95/48/EC).
The driver is responsible for respecting the
maximum loads given in the type-approval
documents and the Highway Code.
When driving, remember that the basic chassis of
your vehicle is that of a commercial vehicle. Always
check the maximum ground clearance of your vehicle
(shown on the vehicle registration certicate), particu-
larly when driving in underpasses, tunnels, in indoor
parking areas etc.).
Also remember that the extensive side area of the ve-
hicle makes it particularly susceptible to gusts of wind
from the side. Drive at a sensible speed in high winds
and take special care when coming out of tunnels, driv-
ing over viaducts and when overtaking articulated lor-
ries and coaches.
Clear any snow or ice from the roof of your motorhome
before starting o in winter.

Always respect the inspection deadlines.

hoW to avoId the rISk of fIre
Do not obstruct the motorhome exit routes and leave
the escape routes clear.
Never leave children or animals unattended inside the
motorhome.
Never use portable heaters or stoves in the vehicle: risk
of re and intoxication.
Flammable materials (wood, fabric, cotton, cardboard
etc.) must be kept away from heaters, stove or any oth-
er heat source, include the ceiling lights.
Do not transport easily ammable material on the vehi-
cle (petrol, kerosene, diesel fuel).
Make sure the petrol, gas or other fuel tank is com-
pletely empty when transporting scooters and/or mo-
peds or similar means of transport.
All changes or repairs to the gas or electric
systems must be carried out by specialised
personnel only. Go to a MCLOUIS author-
ised dealer or a SEA Service authorised
workshop to have this operation performed.
