Carefully read the safety instructions contained in this chapter and follow them at all times.
General safety instructions
The body of your vehicle is designed to allow good
ventilation in line with European safety standards. Per-
manent openings are required to ensure the constant
exchange of air inside the vehicle. These are produced
through the double cover of the extractor vent in the
roof and the ventilation grilles located in the lower part
of the vehicle.
This exchange of air combined with suitable adjust-
ment of the heating makes it possible to keep the tem-
perature inside your vehicle at pleasant levels even in
the most extreme weather conditions.
Never close or obstruct the permanent
vents in any way, not even in winter. An in-
crease in the percentage of carbon dioxide
constitutes a very serious risk of asphyxia-
tion.
Never use portable heaters or stoves in the vehicle: risk
of re and intoxication.
Make sure that you are familiar with the location and
operation of the motorhome exits (doors and win-
dows).
Leave evacuation areas free.
See “Fire-prevention rules and precautions”
in this chapter for re safety information.
Follow the instructions in the Owner Handbooks
for the chassis (engine, braking system, etc.) and the
equipment tted on board (burners, gas cooker, refrig-
erator, etc.) to the letter. The instructions in the manu-
als are crucial for the correct use of the equipment they
refer to.
If the vehicle is sold, remember to hand
over all the Owner Handbooks of the vehi-
cles and of the installed devices in addition
to the inspection coupon receipts to the
new owner.
Remember that installing accessories may modify the
dimensions, weight and behaviour of the vehicle on
the road even considerably and in some cases may re-
quire registration.
Use raised bed for sleeping only. Install the fall arrester
net when these beds are used by children, particularly
those younger than 6 years of age.
Remember that the installation of accessories can alter
the dimensions, weights and behaviour of the vehicle
when driving quite considerably as well as, in some
cases, requiring registration.
Stick to the sizes of the wheels and tyres approved for
your vehicle. The necessary information can be found
in the vehicle registration certicate.
When parked, always apply the handbrake and engage
rst gear.
It is advisable to have a set of wheel chocks for the mo-
torhome to be tted under the wheels if you are parked
on an incline or when the vehicle needs to be stopped
securely (for example, when changing a wheel).
When leaving the vehicle unattended, remember to al-
ways close all doors, windows and locker aps.
Never modify electric and gas installations and appli-
ances. Have any modications carried out by MCLOUIS
authorised dealer or a SEA Service authorised work-
shop, which will be responsible for the works.
For all safety information on the various
system see:
“Safety regulations - gas system,
“Safety rules - Electric system”,
“Safety rules - water system”.
